LAB Summary

I have setup this LAB on VMWare work station 12.0. The whole lab is running on ThinkPad
W541 with 32 GB of RAM and Intel(R) i7-4930MX CPU @ 3.00 GHZ, with 1 TB SSD
Samsung.

The requirement was to upgrade existing Windows 7 or Windows 8, 8.1 smooth upgradation on
Windows 10 with all profile Documents, Downloads, Desktop items and favorites etc.

There are few steps to accomplish task, but before that have a perusal window 7 screenshots.

Before Upgradation

a: We have two users in window 7 names abc and Administrator

b: Window 7 desktop shows text file, png file and win7 folder.
c: Window7 downloads shows a folder

d: Window 7 documents shows a folder name win7

1: Upgradation steps need to follow; Media Creation Tool is a software we used for Upgradation.
2: Click on that software and Click on Accept

3: Check option upgrade this pc now and click on Next

4: In this step Mediacreationtool is downloading window 10 from internet
5: Verifying and creating windows 10 media

6: Get ready
7: after that applicable notice and license terms appear cliclk on Accept

8: Installing updates
9: Ready to install window appears then click on Install

10: Installing start

11: After that window 7 will restart and start window to be install likewise below

12: After full upgradation of window 7 to window 10 we need to configure few steps for window
13. Choose privacy setting and click on ACCEPT

14: Click on Notnow for proceed further

15: Click Next for finalizing

This is how we have done this. After that window 10 will appear with all documents, download,
desktop which we were using on window

16. Now match step 1 (a,b,c,d) of window 7 with new upgraded window 10.

All documents, download, desktop item is available in upgraded window 10
