CONTENT STANDARD : 3.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to form letters and
words in neat legible print including cursive writing.

3.3 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to write and present
ideas through a variety of media using appropriate language, form and style.

LEARNING STANDARD : 3.1.1 Able to write in neat legible print with correct spelling:

(a) sentences

(b) paragraphs

3.3.1 Able to create texts using a variety of media:

(a) non-linear

OBJECTIVE : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;

Advance:

1. Write at least four sentences based on the pictures given with guidance.
2. Write a narrative essay with guidance.

ACTIVITY : Set Induction:

1. Teacher asks pupils to list down 5 verbs on the whiteboard.

2. Teacher discusses with the pupils

Presentation:

1. Teacher introduces the SVW writing technique to pupils.

2. Teacher explains on how to use the technique.
3. Teacher gives examples of sentences by using the SVW technique.

Practice:

1. Teacher divides the class into small groups.

2. Teacher distributes a picture to each group.
3. Each group will write at least 4 sentences by referring to the picture given.
 4. Each group will present their work in front of the class.

Production:

1. Teacher distributes worksheets to pupils.

2. Pupils complete the worksheet with teacher’s guidance.
3. Teacher checks the pupils’ answer.
