Instrumentation

There were two instruments that were used to gather the needed data. These

were the Questionnaires on Self Assessment of Pupils Learning styles, and Pupils

grade in the third grading period in English based in Pupils Report Card (Form 138-E).

Questionnaire on Self Assessment of Pupils Learning styles. This

questionnaire was designed to gather the data on pupils learning styles. This was a

standardized test formulated by Dunn, and Dunn used in profiling pupils learning styles

and styles. The questionnaires were preferred because of the number of respondents,

cost and the nature of the topic, which had to do with both qualitative and qualitative

data. Data were coded and analyzed using tabular form. Statistical tables provides

numerical facts in a more concise and systematic manner. . To interpret the result of the

self-assessment of pupils learning styles the following scale was used.

A score of 31 points or more in a Style indicates strength in that area. The

highest of the three (3) scores indicates the most efficient method of information intake.

Progress Report Card (Form 138-E). This is the form which was utilized to

gather data related to pupils academic performance at the end of the third grading

period. This report shows the child’s capability in various learning areas including

his/her personality and character development. To interpret the pupil’s academic

performance in English 3 the following scale was used:
