WASTESAFE 2021 CONFERENCE THEME AREAS

After celebrating the 10 years anniversary in 2019, the next
event of WasteSafe is going to organize it’s 7th event as the
previous six WasteSafe Conferences (WasteSafe 2009,
2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 & 2019) on integrated solid waste
& faecal sludge management: blue appropriate social
oriented solutions. The WasteSafe Conference acts like an
excellent platform for young researchers of the developing
countries to present their research works. They also can
come in direct contact to world famous and experienced
academics and researchers for exchanging views on solid
waste & faecal sludge management concepts, innovations
and sustainable technologies etc. WasteSafe 2021 is going
to focus on the innovation of appropriate technologies and
also the inclusion of blue appropriate social oriented
solutions and related wastewater issues as theme areas.
The conference will include oral sessions, continuously
accessible poster presentation, exhibition & demonstration
of different innovations & technologies, business meeting,
group discussion and workshop & training for the
interested groups.

SUBMISSION OF THE EXTENDET ABSTRACT
The interested authors are invited to submit the Extended
Abstract of their paper to the conference scientific
committee at wastesafe.bd@gmail.com. The extended
abstract should be of TWO A4 sized pages. The structure
and detail instructions are given in the website of
WasteSafe: www.wastesafe.info.
SUBMISSION OF THE FULL PAPER
The authors of the accepted extended abstracts will be
invited to submit their full papers accordingly. The
structure and detail instructions are given in the website of
WasteSafe: www.wastesafe.info. The authors are
independent to decide about the size of the full papers
only.
The following topics, among others will be extensively
discussed: Solid wastes management  Technologies
involved in solid waste management  Faecal sludge
management  Technologies involved in faecal sludge

new thoughts for waste water treatment  New Topic:

PUBLICATION OF PAPERS
The EXTENDED ABSTRACT of all the papers will be
published in a book as the PRINTED Conference
Proceedings with ISBN number, while the full papers of
the accepted extended abstracts will be published in SOFT
to a MEMORY STICK. Additionally, a considerable number
of leading papers selected by the conference scientific
committee will be processed, eventually following revision
and updating, for publication on special thematic issues
on international renowned journals. Currently WasteSafe
is working with DETRITUS Multidisciplinary Journal for
Waste Resources and Residues.

WasteSafe 2021 is a nice platform to showcase your
innovations, activities, ideas and/or products in front of a
large number of international scientists and experts, along
with all the participants of the conference. The interested
scientists groups, persons, organizations and institutes are
requested to communicate to the conference secretariat
for the procedures and booking the space to the above
contact.
VENUE OF THE CONFERENCE
WasteSafe 2021 will be held in the campus of Khulna
University of Engineering & Technology (KUET),
Bangladesh at Civil Engineering Department. The campus
is located about 12km far from the center of Khulna city.
The campus is attractively laid out with beautiful
plantation and with buildings of various nature and
stature, clean and wide roads. It presents a spectacle of
harmony in architecture and natural beauty.

HOST COUNTRY OF THE CONFERENCE - BANGLADESH

Bangladesh became an independent country in 1971 at the sacrifice of lives of 3
million people under the great leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman, Father of the Nation. It is one of the world largest Deltas with three
mighty rivers, the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and the Meghan and densely
populated country with an area of 1,47,570 sqkm and more than 160 million
people. Having world’s most fertile agricultural land, it inheritances enormous
beauty, hundreds of serpentine rivers, surrounded by ever green hills, luxuriant
tropical rain forests, beautiful cascades of green tea gardens, the world’s longest
sandy sea beach – Cox’s Bazar and the world’s largest mangroves forest -
Sundarbans. Bangladesh has a rich, diverse culture; its deep routed heritage is
thoroughly reflected in its architecture, multifaceted folks like tales, myths,
terracotta, legends riddles etc., dance, music and clothing. The three primary
religions - Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism of Bangladesh have a great influence
on its culture and history. People of Bangladesh are generous and hospitable by
nature and lead a simple life with peace, harmony and happiness.

ECOTOURISM IN THE WORLD LARGEST MANGROVE- SUNDARBANS

The Sundarbans is a nature’s school for the Eco-tourists. Though Bengal Tiger is
the flag ship species of this unique mangrove forest, it also offers many other
wonders of the nature to the visitors. Seeing a Bengal tiger in this 4200 sq. km of
dense mangroves, where visitors have only access to water ways, has a chance
of one in thousands. There are many attractive spots in Sundarbans like
DublarChor, Harbaria, Kalagachia, KochiKhali, Karamjal, Kotka etc.
