Mac   [option]

Screen resolution
For the list displayed here, the corresponding resolution of your monitor is displayed.
Normally you select the maximum size (same size as the current screen resolution).
If you leave a check in Windowed, you can start up as a window at startup and adjust
the size.
However, the setting at the end will be reproduced at the next startup, so the setting
here will be temporary.

Graphic quality
Rendering frame number, drawing calculation accuracy, etc. are changed based on
this setting.
The more you go to the bottom, the cleaner the drawing, the slower the processing speed.
Normally set it to good or better.
When it works with Fantastic, or when you need to create a large number of contests,
change according to the specifications of the PC and the environment.

About full-screen resolution

For example, on the setting screen above, set the resolution to 1800 x 1200,
uncheck Windowed and start up.
If unchecked, it will be launched in full screen.
At this time, it may be different from the resolution of the monitor
(Especially in the case of Mac, the difference depends on the menu bar)
In that case, the actual screen will be 1860 × 1200, it will be stretched
60 pixels vertically.
Once you cancel maximization and maximize again, it will be recalculated,
so it will be normal display.
There are also such things, it will be more convenient to start up as a window

You can move the created sheet by dragging it.

Along with the movement, the count number and sheet number are automatically recalculated.
Sheet is created between the selected count and the previous count.
This is because it is based on the timing (head beat) at which the position of the head comes
above the point.
Just like counting, you can drag with [sheet placement space] as the starting point, enclose
it with boxes, and select them all at once.
You can also make multiple selections by holding down the shift key and clicking.

Movement of the sheet can only move between the sheet and the sheet, you can not overtake
the front and rear sheets.
Although you can not move the sheet to a place where there is no count,
if you create a sheet with count and remove the count later, the sheet will remain.
If you move the sheet at this time, you will move to an unexpected place, please be sure to redo
the count and move again.

Member placement when inserting sheets

If you add a sheet to the end, a sheet is created in the
same row as the last sheet, and if it is created in the middle,

15 Select and move members

How to use the select tool

Select tool

Three types of tools for member selection

There are three kinds of selection tools. Please use it properly according to purpose.
The order of selection is important when creating drills.
Choose the tool by judging the selection method depending on the situation, such as whether or not
the tool to be used affects in turn.

shape selection
Drag to draw a square, you can select members at once.
The selected order is remembered, but if it is selected at the same time it may be irregular order.
It is a useful tool for simple operations such as movement and rotation.
Additional selection is possible by pressing the [shift] key.

Polygon selection
Click repeatedly to draw a polygon and right click to close the polygon.
You can select members surrounded by that polygon.
It is a useful tool for selecting complex members such as arcs and circles.
As you right-click, it will be selected all at once, so the selection order will be irregular.
If you press the shift key, additional selection is possible.

Drag selection
After dragging, you can select members after tracing with the brush.
Continuous additional selection is possible even if you cancel the click once.
It is a tool specialized to specify order.
It can also be used for deformation selection.

You can also select by directly clicking on the member.

Multiple additional selections are possible by holding down [shift] key and clicking.
Right-clicking on a location other than member will deselect it.

Lock
Lock selected members and objects so that they can not be edited.

unlock
Unlock all locked members and objects.
snap
When the SNAP button is on, the cursor will snap to the point.
You can change the snap system based on the set value.
▲ ▼ works at 0.5 intervals, but if you enter it directly, fine settings such
as 0.25 are possible.
Snap affects all drawing tools.
Enable snapping when arranging lines, arcs, circles etc. accurately.

When snap is on, a red x mark will be displayed near the cursor.
This place becomes the place to click.
The snap interval criterion is always calculated from the center point (0, 0).
Since it is a frequently used function, a shortcut of [control] + G is prepared.

-27-
Move and expand members, rotate
You can move a member by dragging the selected member.
All selected members will move at the same time.
Rotation and enlargement are performed using bounding boxes.
When you select a member, the bounding box is displayed.
Drag the corner arrow to rotate and drag ■ to enlarge.
Rotation and magnification do not rotate or enlarge the mark itself.
The points of the members are rotated relative to each other and expanded.
Therefore, if only one person is selected, expansion and rotation are meaningless.

rotation
scaling

Moreover, it can move finely even ← ↑ ↓ → keyboard.

Hold down [shift] while pressing ← to move at intervals based on the numerical value set in snap.
It is useful for tasks such as moving one step at a time.

Be aware of member's selection order

▷ will be displayed so that you can see the order of selection.

Even if you select the same member, the results of tool usage such as line placement change
according to the selected order.
In case of shape selection, if you select it quickly, it will be randomly selected without recognizing
the selected order.
In addition, selection of polygons is decided at a stretch, so it becomes a random selection.
To select them, select the order slowly, use the shift key to add the selected members, and
specify the order. You can quickly specify the order by using the drag selection tool.

If ▷ overlaps as shown below, the order is disturbed.

If you rotate, enlarge, move, etc. together, the order of selection is irrelevant so there is
no problem.

You can reverse the order by pressing the space key.

-28-
How to use the member position tool

Member position tool can arrange members on graphics

such as lines and circles based on the selected order.
You can reverse the order by pressing space key.
Also, the alignment tool is also a set.
The following tools must always select members before
using them.

Interval tool
By turning this button on, you can arrange the interval fixedly.
▲ ▼ is set at 0.5 intervals, but if you enter it directly, you can set more detailed values.
“Interval”are reflected only in the line tool and curve tool.

Line arrangement
Set the start point with the first click, the end point with the second click, draw the line,
evenly on the line.
Selected members will be placed.
You can cancel by right clicking before making the second click.

Arc arrangement

and set the member's placement angle with the third click
Designate and draw a circle. Selected members are evenly placed on the circle.
You can cancel by right clicking after the first click.

Mirror arrangement
First, complete half of the figure, make the member order as mirror source, and select.
Next, select the mirror tool and select the member you want to move.
The mirroring is arranged in order with respect to the preselected member.
The mirror algin is reflected on the left and right with a pink line.
Pink lines can be moved by dragging.
Mirroring is not possible, so in that case please make it right and left and rotate.

① Selection of the member of

-29-
Curve placement

By clicking the point and dragging it, I draw a Bezier curve. You can right-click to end the curve.
If you press contol + Z while drawing a curve, you can return the point arrangement one before.
Also, right click to end curves.
Before making decisions, it is possible to select and adjust handles and points.
Equally chosen members will be placed.
By turning on the interval, you can create a curve with a fixed interval.
When drawing a straight line, do not drag and do not put out a handle is a point.
Technique is necessary to draw Bezier line as desired. You can draw beautiful curves
by hitting points at the top, bottom, left and right vertices of the figure to stretch the
handle vividly and vertically.

point

You can draw a straight line by drawing a line with only a click.
The line placement tool can draw only one straight line, but it is useful when you want
to draw a continuous straight line with the curve tool.

It is also possible to draw a box with the curve placement tool by using the snap function
and the interval function or to create regular shapes depending on the ingenuity.

19 Setting various actions

Horn action
Selectted members for which you want to set the action and select
[Selected]> [Horn Action]. Horn actions can be set for each sheet individually.

Three actions [Horn down / Horn up / Pull up] are applied to the selected member.
The action will be reflected from the previous main sheet to the current sheet.
For example, when you horn up a member in a horn-down state, the bell starts moving from
the start count and the bell completes with an end count.
Thereafter, as long as there is no instruction, the bell-up continues as it is.
With setting 2, you can set two types of actions between one sheet.

Turn setting
Selected members for which you want to set the action and
select [Selected]> [Turn Setting]. Turns can be set for each sheet individually.

You can rotate the selected member.

Turns are made from the previous main sheet to the current sheet, plus from the angle of the
previous sheet. In case
It starts from the start count and reaches the specified angle with the end count.
If you select the direction of travel, it will point in the direction of movement.
If you select the direction of travel, continue the direction of travel until there are
new instructions on subsequent sheets.

-36-
Hold (Holt)
You can selected members and hold the specified member with [Select member]> [Hold].
The same result can be obtained with [control+ H] shortcut.

Normally, members who do not move points also take a mark time.
If you want to hold it, select this menu.
If the member is moving between sheets, it will automatically return
to the point on the previous sheet.
Hold is done between sheets, and detailed setting by beat can not
be done.
If you want to action in the middle of a sheet, you need to create a
sub sheet.

Step Change (Low, Middle, High Step)

By selected members, you can change the height to raise the knee of the specified member in
[Selected]> [Step Change].

Usually it moves in low step.

If this setting is changed, it will be reflected on all
subsequent sheets from the set sheet.
You can switch by adding settings to another sheet.
The step is reflected even at the mark time.

Step time (normal, double, half time)

You can selected members and walk the specified member at a double tempo or a half tempo in
[Select member]> [Step time].

This setting is valid for one sheet only.

If you want to continue with multiple sheets, make settings on all of those sheets.

Since the drill studio has a function to calculate measures, even if you move the whole at
double tempo, set the count according to the score and set double time for all members.

-37-
Pause library
You can make various poses.
Select a member and choose [Selected]> [Pause Library].

There is a difference for each part section of the pose number.

Press the [Pause List] button to display the list.
Pause will be updated as needed at any time.
It starts from the start count, and the pause is completed with the end count.
Since two poses can be set on one sheet, dynamic actions can be created in a complex manner.

Action library
You can make various successive actions.
Select a member and choose [Selected]> [Action Library].

Actions are performed consecutively according to the action number.

All action lengths of the set actions differ depending on the number.
If the length from the start count to the end count is longer than the length of the action,
the action is repeated,
It will be played part way through.
There is a difference for each action number section.
When you press the [action list] button, the list is displayed. Actions are added and updated
at any time according to your request.
It starts from the start count, and the pause is completed with the end count.
Since two actions can be set on one sheet, dynamic actions can be created in
a complex manner.
If both pause and action are set, the action takes precedence.

20 Follow The Leader Pinwill

Follow the Leader (FTL)

Follow The way to create the leader is to use the follow the leader tool,
There are two ways of using the auto follow tool.

FTL tool

First, create a position before FTL,

and then create a sheet for FTL end count.
In that state, select the sheet in front of
the the leader.

Next, select the order.

The first member selected becomes the leader.

Click the FTL tool.

A window for entering the sub sheet pitch opens.

This sub sheet pitch is the number of beats passing
through the position of the previous person in FTL.
In the drill studio, it is not an instruction to pass the
trajectory of the former person,
It will be an instruction to "step on the point of the
previous person at ⃝ beat".

When you are done, click [Create].

Specify by mouse click the position to go after the
beat specified by the leader.

By repeating clicks, sub sheets are

automatically set between the created
sheets.
When was reach the next main sheet,
the follow the leader will be unlocked
automatically.
If you have already set up a sub-sheet,
or if you want to have another line follow
the leader at the same time, you can
overwrite the sub-sheet by doing the
same work.
The same result can be obtained even
after adding a sub sheet in advance.

-39-
Auto Follow
With auto follow, you can more easily follow the leader setting.
It is a convenient function for creating outer peripherals such as
RPC · LPC (Pin Feel Center) and various spins.

Auto Follow tool

First, create the first sheet and the next sheet, and create a sub sheets therebetween.

You can quickly create it using the sub sheets creation tool (in the sheet
editing tool).

Next, I will create the movement of the

leader member one by one.
When the movement of the leader is
completed,
we will select the leader first and then
select the followers.
At this time you select the last sheet of
the follow-the-leader end.

When you have made your selection,

click the Auto Follow button.

Then, the sub-sheet is automatically

changed so that subsequent members
will follow up.

-40-
Pinwill (PW)

The pinwheel rotates line by line or group by the specified point as the axis.

Create a sheet before rotation and temporarily create a

sheet after rotation.
With the sheet before rotation selected, select the
member you want to rotate and select the pinwheel tool.
At this time, the selection order of members is not
affected,
unlike the follow the leader.
Set the sub sheet pitch.
The finer the sub sheet pitch is, the more smooth it is
possible to rotate, but since the number of sub sheets
increases, it becomes difficult to edit later.
Next set the total number of counts.
Unlike the follow the leader tool, the sub sheets are
created up to the point specified by the total count,
not between the main sheets.
Since it may be created beyond the next main sheet,
please arrange so that the next sheet you created
will be after the total count.
(Move and remove after setting the pinwheel.)

If you want to simultaneously pinwire

another line, you can overwrite additional
sub sheets with the same work.
Pinfeel can only be set up to 180 degrees.
If you want to do a pinwheel more than
180 degrees, please set it separately twice.
In addition, the 180 degree pinwheel may
shift slightly due to calculation errors.
In that case please correct by finely adjusting
the last sheet later.

Subsheet completion

Subsheet completion tool

Interpolates the position of the intervening sub-sheet so that it moves linearly from the position
of the previous main sheet to the position of the current sheet.
Follow Follow the leader, pinwheel etc. to create a detailed sub-sheet, use it when moving a member
of another group in a straight line.

-41-
Advanced (outer parade)
Example of creating a paradise parade
You can create outer parade formation using
pinwheel and autoflow.
The outer circumference movement to be created
is as shown on the left.

First, calculate the total number of counts that the entire rotation is completed.
If the interval is 2, it is impossible to rotate in the same interval, so it is necessary to
devise such as to widen the interval and shorten the interval after rotation.
In this case, I will try to put in a container that expands the interval to 4 before the
pinwheel and returns it to 2 after rotation.
The pinwheel shall be 16 counts.
Therefore, until the whole rotation completes and the interval shrinks to 2,
it becomes 36 counts.
Depending on your organization, such calculations may be difficult, so it's a good idea
to take a relatively long count in the meantime, and later adjust the sub sheet to the main
sheet or remove the sheet.

In order to set it much, I made the next main

sheet after 50 counts and added the sub
sheet with pitch 2 in "Insart Sub Sheets".

We will create the movement of the first

column in the created sub sheet.
Since all sub sheets are created at the
position of the first main sheet, if the sheet
changes,
it willreturn to the first position, you will lose
track ofwhere you moved and you will not
know the point to move.

Reset to the previous position

(in editing tool)

With this tool you can set the position of

the selected member to the position of
the previous seat.
Since it is a frequently used function,
it can be used with [control] + R shortcut.

-42-
When the movement in the front row is completed, the sheet that reaches the target
position becomes the last sheet, right click on the sheet, select "Make Main Sheet",
and change to the main sheet.

Since you can not use the auto follow function unless you make it the main sheet,
you must set the main sheet when using auto follow.

Next, we select the first member first, and then select

the members of the following line in order.
Click the Auto Follow button.
With this, one row was settable.
In the same way, complete autoflow for all columns and
it will be completed.

Depending on the method of movement in the front row,

it is possible to correspond to various contests.

The drill studio can create every movement by setting

the sub sheet finely.
Even if you do not use this kind of function, you can create
a formation on a single sheet one by one to create a similar
effect.
Please understand that tools such as follow the leader and
pinwheel are tools to alleviate these manual work.

In this state, the container is completed, but when you check it in 3D,
the horn or body faces the front.
If you want to move the direction of travel, select the main sheet of completion
of movement, select a member, select tracking from "turn setting" on "Select member"
menu, and specify the total count.
For details, please see "Turn Setting (P36)".

Enter [/ ○] for the tag.
The part surrounded by [] replaces the contents of the specified tag.
For example, if you enter as follows,
The current seat is [/ s] th. The count of this sheet is [/ c].
Instead of replacing the tag part, we automatically calculate the current sheet number,
count etc and convert it.
The current seat is the 21st. The count of this sheet is 16.

Even if the sheet arrangement is changed or the count is changed,

calculation is automatically calculated, so you can always display correctly.
For calculations related to measures such as [/ms] [/me] [/meas] , you need to set measures.

To create a texture image, please use image editing software.
The format that can be used is PNG format.
The texture map is published on the drill studio website.

The polygon of the model has a scapula, a

skirt.
If these are unnecessary, parts can be
excluded by making the relevant part of
the texture transparent.
Also, skirt can be shortened or made into
half skirt by devising texture.

24 Create Prop

Customize Prop
Four kinds of props are prepared, a square, a sphere, a cylinder, and a triangular prism.
You can change the properties of selected members, customize them by changing the texture
and size.
By changing the aspect ratio of the basic model, changing the offset, and combining multiple models,
it is also possible to create complex props.
Also, since it is compatible with transparent PNG as well as model texture, more complicated prop
can be represented by devising texture.
Prop data created will be included in the file and saved.

You can change the scale of the model in the properties of the selected member menu.
The scale can be changed individually, and it can be set up to the decimal point.
By changing the setting, it is also possible to create a springboard, a breakproof, or create a
complicated prop with a combination.

With a texture setting of [Selected member]> [Properties], you can paint with a free
color of a single color by setting your own texture or enabling color.

Objects combining Prop 1, 2, 3, 4

Place members on top of Prop

If you select a member and check the collision handling of [Selected]> [Properties],
if the member overlaps with the prop, you can put it on top.
There is a limit to the height that can climb. (About 1 meter)
If you want to put on a table with a large height, you need to create slopes and stairs.

If there is no check in the collision process, it will pass through ignoring the prop.
Since collision processing is performed by the physical operation engine,
there is a case that does not ride when playing from the middle or backward returning.
Please try playing from a little before.
By specifying the Z position of [Select member]> [Property], you can set the position of
the member in the Z direction on a sheet basis.
When this setting is made, the movement in the Z direction can be set for each sheet as
well as the movement in the X and Y directions, and it can be floated in the air without the
base such as prop.
As with normal point movements, between sheets, it will complement and move.
However, if conflict handling is checked, physical calculations falling down will be made
even if you are in the air.
