My Fascinating Island

Traveling has been one of the major trend in our society these days. The most
wonderful recreational activity in which you get to see different views and be on another
places. I also love to travel because it makes me relieve my stress and I could also
experience the culture and traditions of other areas of the world or places. One thing that
makes travelling exciting is when you can meet different faces and taste their foods and
also experience their lifestyle. One thing that I’ve been dreaming of is to travel in our local
cities and hopefully travel the entire world. Among the places that I’ve been the Camotes
Island is undyingly the most amazing and fascinating island one could ever travel. Why
Camotes Island is the best? Here’s the fun fact about Camotes Island.

Camotes Island is a little island lying between the Island of Cebu and the Island of
Leyte. It Is also part of the province of Cebu. Camotes Island is an hour travel from the
city of Danao and probably two hours travel from the heart of Cebu which is the
Downtown. There are a lot of ways to get there. First, you need to ride either Jeepney,
Bus or V-hire to reach the city of Danao. Once you reach the port of Danao you are going
to ride Boat which you’re going to pay 170 pesos after 2 hours you’ll reach your
destination. Another alternative is from Mactan Cebu where you will ride a fast craft which
going to take you for about 30 minutes travel to Camotes Island. The good thing about
Camotes is; it has white sand beaches which you can get in for free or some will let you
pay for about 20 pesos for entrance. You can also go to different caves and swim at their
clear fresh water. Camotes Island also offers different scenery which you can view from
sunrise to sunset. The people living in Camotes Island are hospitable and kindhearted.
They’ll always make you feel like you are part of their family that they you never let you
feel awkward and away from home. Camotes Island also win in terms of their cleanliness
and foods. The roads in which a tourist will pass is gleaming and the air is fresh. The
foods are fresh. Camotes Island also have their delicacies which you can bring or make
as “pasalubong” to your friends or family as you get back to Cebu City. One thing that the
Camotes people have been preserving is their cultures and History that people would
forever cherish in their hearts. You can go to Camotes in an hour and be back to the City
after. Camotes offers many trips from their port to Danao port and vice versa. You can
start travelling in the morning which is their first trip and be back on the afternoon or you
can take the last trip. But if you really want to enjoy their scenery, cultures, history and
tradition you really have to stay there for a week.

Indeed, Camotes is one of the most beautiful place you can travel especially when
you have less budget. Travelling to camotes with friends is probably the best idea. Where
you can spend your day with your squads and be at the different destinations there.
