Disaster preparedness
- It is an aggregation of families and individual, settled in a family
compact and contiguous geographical area, with significant
elements of common life as shown by manners customs,

among the people of the community may be ordered by special
groups or entities (schools, churches, professions or welfare
bodies). A geographic community must have special interest
groups and sectors, and also a combination of social units and
systems: economic, political and socio cultural.
3. SK development program – The Local Government Code created
a Youth Council or SK in every barangay. It has been given
responsibility to initiate programs designed to enhance the
“social, political, economic, cultural, intellectual, moral and
physical development” of the barangay youths. To carry out its
mandate, the SK is mandated in all barangays and SK chairman
will be automatically a member of the barangay council as an
ex’-officio.
4. Barangay justice program – The Katarungang Pambarangay is
the official term for the barangay justice system.
