Teacher Leadership Experience

Pennies for Patients Coordinator - ​Each grade level band has to coordinate and work on one to
two service projects a year. I am the lead coordinator for grades TK and Kindergarten on this
project. I am responsible for contacting and planning the fundraiser with the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society. I hold pep rallies and create a friendly competition among the grade levels
through Penny War to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

TK and Kinder Play Coordinator - ​Each year, I plan, organize and direct a school play for TK
and Kindergarten. As the play coordinator, I work with the TK teacher to organize a schedule
where I can work with both classes on the songs and movements. I also communicate and
collaborate with families to create backdrops and costumes. Once the students are ready to
perform, I organize a play schedule that works with the other teachers and families.

Art Coordinator - ​I was the art coordinator at my school for 3 years. As the art coordinator, I
had to communicate with other teachers, provide resources, create lesson plans and ideas for
grades TK to 8th. Each month, we focused on one artist to make it consistent throughout the
grade levels. As the art coordinator, I was also in charge of updating the school’s bulletin board
and communicating with other teachers to create a school-wide bulletin board.
