Q3 - Positive aspects you had during Recruitment of 2019:
all of the cpc exec and recruitment counselors maintained a positive attitude throughout the week. I also liked recruitment being held in the village.
Having recruitment held in the house made the whole recruitment process even more personal and special for everyone involved.
All the girls who found their homes, learning more about how the recruitment process works
I loved the dinner break and the "round off" for the first two days.
Thought the round times were great, thought our door person did an amazing job on getting us everything we needed and making sure we were on
time, we liked that fact that we got feedback each night but we think it should’ve been given earlier if at all possible
CPC was very helpful when they wanted to help and willing to work with us. It was organized alright. Girls seemed really excited
There was a great group of girls coming through who were guided by some wonderfully trained RCs! All the girls were excited to be there and were
open minded daily
the rounds where more manageable than the pervious years due to the spreading out of the rounds in to two days.
My Chapter was able to keep a light tone and was able to find ways to laugh and have fun during an extremely stressful time.
I liked that It was in the house it kept the rounds small and easily doable for our chapter sizes.
N/A
Seemed well organized and there were nice breaks (for us at least) and it gave us time to relax between long times of recruitment.
I felt as though we were all able to work really well together and we adapted really well to any obstacles that came about
Girls were all very excited to be there and had positive mindsets going in.
Getting to spend time with sisters and be apart of recruiting the best girls for the future of Delta Zeta.
I thought that CPC did a really good job starting the rounds on time.
Fun experience
The five day long process was much better than the 3 day week
Very smooth, timing was very well planned, enough time to talk to the girls.
Q4 - Negative aspects you had during Recruitment of 2019:
NONE
I believe that the timing of recruitment during the week was not beneficial for recruitment for a whole. I believe that it added unnecessary stress on
everyone involved during recruitment
Of course with days going so late after classes, girls were semi-exhausted by the last round.
Even though we’re going more values based I still believe that some decorations should be allowed like balloons, rules should be kept the same for each
chapter after recruitment seeing pictures of some of the things that were counted for values based were not quite that and my chapter would have
pushed the envelope more knowing that certain things would have been allowed, we as a whole recruitment team would have preferred the feedback
and infractions to come from the VP judicial and VP recruitment and not a ton of people walking in to the house to tell us, also a print out of the
feedback word for word
Only thing would be to have speakers on pref practice reading their speeches before hand
I hated having t during school. I got zero sleep, had headaches every day, I forgot to eat, I skipped classes. CPC just really seemed unorganized at
times and seemed out to get us.
The fact that it went on during schools. Some days felt impossible to function through a full day of school and a full night of recruitment and being a
vpr there were nights I was up until 3 am, it was damaging to both myself and my chapter. We have also had feedback from new members saying it
was so hard to juggle it all and made them think about dropping half way through.
I disliked this being during school. It was hard to manage with the nursing program and time manage
Not always feeling like I got the information I wanted from some of the sorority girls I talked to in some of the houses
There were a few times that RC's didn't give us the correct list and we had extra sisters in line waiting for PNM's, or we had to throw a random sister in
in order to accommodate for an extra PNM.
N/A
Negative aspects you had during Recruitment of 2019:
N./A
There seemed to be a slight miscommunication between our chapter and CPC and we had to scramble last minute to catch up which I feel like could
have been avoided if there was better precautions taken to ensure everything that was needed to be done on CPC's half was completed before
recruitment.
I felt as though on CPC's part, there could have been some more organization and accountability for recruitment counselors and making sure everyone
is here who is supposed to be there and being on time to the different rounds as well.
Having it during the School time. Not everyone could come due to classes.
Doing it during the school week. It made it hard for sisters to attend especially with it being add/drop week so everything was changing. Plus it made
the days super long because I know personally I had an 8 am on Friday but the night before I had to stay up till 3 or 4 am cleaning up, waiting on
feedback from CPC, and getting ready for the next day (because we had to make sure everything was ready because there wasn’t time to have it done
the day of.). I also know some things weren’t always clear like when the entire round just didn’t show up to Alpha Gam?? It made it hard to explain to
the sisters that they just weren’t there??
I wish I could have met all the girls during recruitment not just a couple
Not everyone got to recruit. I think if we were thought as bad recruiters than they should have helped us become a great one. I feel like this is an
important part of delta zeta and I feel like the same girls got to meet the girls so other girls had no idea. They wondered why on the last day the same
girls were only ones who knew the girls.
CPC caused confusion with RC's regarding round times and parties which cause confusion for chapters
Infractions
The executive members that were in charge of recruitment acted like bosses instead of sisters. I understand they needed to take charge but they
barked orders instead of asking. I also do not think it’s right to take away something that is apart of someone. Something that makes delta zeta so
special is that we are all different and unique but on one of the days we were asked to take off our jewelry and make it more “lowkey” and if someone
said no then the members in charge yelled. that was unacceptable. Sometimes someone’s jewlrey makes them who they are and that’s what makes
delta zeta stand out, we are alllwed to be who we are. Unfortunately on that day and in that moment, it was taken away from us.
Sisters talking to PNM’s they were already friends with. Caused more drama than it should have.
it sucked
I really hate to be more negative than positive, but honestly, recruitment was very chaotic. Having to during school stressed not only myself out, but
the chapter. We were overloaded with late nights on top of the homework we had to do. I do not feel recruitment should have been five days. I was so
sleep deprived and overwhelmed.
It was very long days and nights. I would recommend doing one night of sisterhood and values rather than 2. But overal was a great time.
The time frame we did it was super stressful and I wasn’t able to do what I needed to do for school
Recruitment in the houses is beyond hectic. It’s to loud. I felt like I was constantly yelling at PNM’s or asking them to repeat themselves 2-3 times.
Doing recruitment during classes (especially the first week of classes) was a bad idea. Either move it to the second week of class or the week before
class.
Hard being inside the village the whole week, some of the rules are very overbearing
Not many... knocks on the door would get very confusing at times.

I did not quite understand the whole rule about the "no frills." I feel like it was a little unnecessary how far this was taken in regards to what color this or
what food can we have or not have, I didn't like all the rules regarding this restricted our ability to show our personal chapter personality to the PNMs.

Q15 - What did you like best about recruitment?
bid day
I enjoyed having recruitment in the house. It made me feel more connected to my organization.
That it was in the houses and that sisterhood was split in to two nights
I liked seeing my chapter pull together and put on a fantastic recruitment and their efforts every night were very rewarding.
Getting feed back from CPC each night and my chapter being able to keep high spirits.
The interactions
Idk
How long the week was so that every PNM got a chance to get to know us.
none
I love the time that I get to spend with my sisters since everyone is usually so busy, this gives our chapter a great opportunity to get to know one
another even better. Especially since there were rounds that not everyone was recruiting all at once with gave us time to relax and chat. I also liked
having it at the house.
I liked how it was spread out throughout the week more than just compacting everything into such a short amount of time
The feedback that we got every night. It was nice to hear what the girls though.
I liked that the pnms got to experience recruitment inside the houses since that hasn’t been done in a while and I liked that bid day was in Ramsey!

When it was
that it was during school. syllabus week isn’t the same for everyone and i’m still struggling to get caught up on my school work from that week. the way
numbers were as well, we should’ve just had recruitment before school started back. having it during school did not affect our numbers.
There was nowhere for sisters who weren't recruiting to be other than the stairwell, which is unheated, so in January sitting in chilling silence is a lot to
take in.
The competitiveness that I heard other chapters talk about outside of the rounds
it was long
I didn’t like having it during school, especially the first week of classes, because I had to miss a lab.
The house was pretty small. Wish there would have been more seating
it was very long and made me get behind in my classes even though it was only the first week
Having it during school. Honestly we have WAY too many CPC days
long days
Long nights
Sisters did not take the recruitment time seriously or use it as a time to bond with others. They were rude and made it very clear they didn’t want to be
there which made me feel like they didn’t want to help our chapter or even be part of the chapter.
N/A
Idk
What did you like least about recruitment?
Bid day.. my bid day was so much more fun because there were also guys there hyping everyone up.
none
N/A
I did not like how it was during school and how disorganized some parts were
That sometimes when the girls lined up they were not in order from what we were told they would be or they had added a girl randomly.
The rules
the drama
Times
THE RULES! organizations should be allowed to have balloons and extra decor.
The parking. If doing recruitment in the village then CPC should have talked to the parking admissions and allowing us to park at the village instead of
miles away and having to walk in the freezing cold.
How bid day was turning into like non frills recruitment. The rules were too strict and although there were ways to still make outfits and whatever cute,
there shouldn’t be rules regarding what we are and aren’t allowed to wear. If the rules keep going as they did this year, we won’t be able to wear
anything but our shirt and jeans soon enough.
all
How long the overall nights were, that it was during school, that it was 5 days when it did not need to be.

What did you like least about recruitment?
How it was during the School year, many girls could not attend because of classes.
Could something have been done to make recruitment more enjoyable for you?

Having it before school. I understand what they were trying to do but numbers were really no different than last year.
It should have been during the last week of break like previous years
no
No
CPC sticking more closely to the time schedule, especially on bid day.
Attitude fines, sisters sent home for bad attitudes and fined for not being there. Basically more strict on the sisters actions and enforce consequences
accordingly
Make Bid day open to fraternities as well! They enjoy it, we enjoy it and so do the New members!
Could something have been done to make recruitment more enjoyable for you?
overall recruitment went well there is nothing that really needs to be done
none
I would have liked for our Panhellenic shirts to have reflected the theme of this years recruitment. I feel like it would have gotten us all really excited to
embrace the "Find your home team" theme and bring us all together not just as individual chapters, but as all of CPC as a whole.
N/A
Possibly more spread out and not on the first week of classes, it was exhausting
Maybe having pref night not be in the house and instead use a bigger room on campus.
More communication
Make recruitment the week before classes start. A TON of girls were stressed out about their classes and homework and that was the #1 reason that
many pnms in my group dropped was because they felt like it was too much at one time and they were getting behind. There wasn’t a significant
change in numbers from this year and last year, so I believe a good number of girls would come the week before class started just so it wouldn’t be as
demanding on them. There were also a ton of schedule conflicts with night classes that confused them a lot because they felt like they couldn’t miss a
round and it was a very confusing and stressful time for them was the feedback we got as recruitment counselors.
no
Maybe fun events like the Frats do during recruitment instead of it being so formal

On Delta Zetas part we need the members in charge to understand that we are all sisters, not bosses of each other.
Maybe less formal activities and create a more relaxed atmosphere for the PNM's

What times would you like to see for Recruitment 2020 rounds?
Before classes, during the day, so no one is out late in the evening and have time for themselves in the evening
If before the first of school - morning/ early afternoon rounds If first week of school - same times If second week - I don’t think that’s a good idea
same times
During the day if it’s before school, later at night if it’s during school
6-10/11
I would like recruitment rounds to be the week before school and go ideally 11-4:30 or 5 so when we have to go through voting we can get that done at
a reasonable hour and hopefully get lists for the next day sooner as well.
move preference to later in the day to create a better formal setting but move other nights to earlier so the members and pnms do not have to stay
late at night during the school week.
The week before classes. During the first week of classes made an already stressful week 100x more stressful, and caused some sisters and PNM's to
miss class completely or not even be able to attend recruitment.
The same times, less rounds, longer rounds, and all 5 days Monday-Friday.
I think the times were good for the amount of girls that had to come through each night.
I think putting as much on the weekends as possible is the best for everyone. Maybe start on Thursday or Friday night and do a bid night or maybe do
the first day 2 days of recruitment actually starting on the weekend because I think those are the longest
Same times!
after 5 or 6
What times would you like to see for Recruitment 2020 rounds?
afternoons
I would like to see rounds being earlier in the day prior to the beginning of classes. This reduces stress on sisters and PNMs and allows us to have more
time after recruitment for things like discussions with bid committee and clean-up/setup before it being really late at night.
As long as recruitment was the week before class, I think any time during the day for rounds would be doable as long as it didn’t go super late.
Maybe the week before classes, but a few hours earlier in the day.
Early rather than late. PNS going through we’re tired and some dropped because of the times.
spring
Like spring 18
The times could be a little later for me personally because of the possible conflict with late classes
Doesn’t matter
4-8 or 9
Middle of the day, the week before classes not too early in the morning and not when it is dark outside because it is very cold at that time of year.
What times would you like to see for Recruitment 2020 rounds?
mid day
If before classes start, morning or during the day instead of so late at night
