My Personal Professional Philosophy on Education:

“It takes a big heart to shape little mind”

Hailey Gorman

As an educator, I believe students are our future in the next generations. Every child has
potential to shape their life and more importantly the world in such a genuine and special way.
At such a young age it is important for educators to develop the students unique potential and
show as much support to each child and develop their capability as an individual. As a child's
teacher, I will believe in the child and watch them grow and discover themselves. Students spend
just as many hours in their classroom as they do at home. My goal is to make sure every child
feels safe and secure in my classroom as well as enjoy their hours spent with their peers.
When a student feels safe and secure, they tend to do better and also show more trust in
the teacher. Providing a safe and healthy work environment is the most necessary part of being a
teacher. I will treat every child as if they were my own and show them the support and guidance
to excel. Also, I will constantly keep in touch with parents and keep them active in their child's
education. It is vital that parents remain active in their child's life and education. On top of
having a family active in the students learning, I will provide as much hands-on and engaging
activities for all my students.
In order to be the best teacher I am capable of being, I will strive to always continue my
learning as well as be open to new ideas and strategies. Parents will be active as well as my
students, the best way to shape a young student is to love and support them. Just like their
parents do at home, I will continue to do in the classroom. I aim to always bring an open mind,
positive attitude, and high expectation to the classroom everyday.
