Look this is the simplest trick i have found for downloading E-books from scribd
but i have’nt tried this on ios so not sure about that,but it will work on all android
devices for sure..

U just need to follow these steps and can get any book from scribd for free.

 Open scribd app and search for any book or any doc.
 Now u suppose u want a xyz doc jst tap on it and u will see something
like this
 Now tap start Reading and wait for the doc to load completely, u will be able to see
only few introductory pages in the app.

 Now open your file manager ,go to android->Data-

>com.scribd.app.reader0->files->d...
