Research Gathering Method

- The data gathering procedure starts with the review on related literature as this will give the
researchers context and background on the topic that the researchers are about to tackle.
- The researchers will start the interview – name, age, social standing of the respondents.
- The researcher will ask for the respondent’s consent to record the interview. The researchers will
ask for name and signature to be added to the list of respondents.
- The researchers will start asking the respondents the prepared questions. Follow up questions are
to be asked carefully.
- During the interview, the researchers will take note of non-verbal cues exhibited by the
respondents.
- Researchers will close the interview by asking “How would you describe the effects the drug war
had on your perceptions of safety in 3 words?”
