A- Elements

1- Space:

 This play area with high diagonal ceiling to give more height.
 The diagonal ceiling and parquet flooring separate the room from the next sitting
area.
 The usage of pendant billiard lights are great to give a similar bar look and feel.
 The two opposite walls used for pictures frames of hobbies/ family photos.
 The two opposite wall shelving for darts and as an open storage for any trophies,
photos or equipment’s.

2- Line:

 Diagonal lines in the ceiling and flooring are giving great feeling of life and
movement.
 Cornice and wall mould lines are smooth to emphasis the hanging photo frames.

3- Shape:
 The wooden shape of the diagonal ceiling along with the billiard table is looking good
with a feeling of active and movement.
 The patterned leathered sofa is also a good choice for an active and sporty feeling of
the overall bar feeling.
 The different weight/ size of photo frames are emphasising that wall as a featured
wall.
 Also, the drum like shape of the hanging lights are perfect for billiard table and again
the bar look.

4- Colour:

 The combination between wood and leather finish to give the bar look style and the
touch of metal finish of the lights and table legs are great to add an elegant feeling.
 The shades of wood using the lighter tone ceiling background( Bamboo sheet ) and
wooden beams and wooden parquet flooring with the table legs and lower part of
walls along with the beige patterned wall paper is balanced and giving active to the
area.

5- Texture:

 Ceiling Background of bamboo sheet and dark stained oak wood beams giving an
effect of nature and bar style along with the oak finish artificial parquet flooring and
the veneered wall cladding which I believe the ID used to match and emphasis the
billiard table.
 And what is a perfect match to billiard table than a dark buttoned leather finish sofa
to complete the look and feel of a bar.
 The wallpaper is a good match with the overall look with the pattern design to match
with the placement of the pictures frames.
 The usage of bronze ss metal is ideal to feel more elegant.

6- Light:

 The centre hanging lights to emphasis the billiard table.

 The cove light to emphasis the diagonal and bamboo sheet ceiling.
 Spot lights to reflect the photo frames.
 The change of light power between the centre table More than sides is also great.

7- Pattern:

 The flooring pattern gives more feeling of movement and active with touch of elegant.
 The wall pattern between photo frames and wallpaper pattern is good but still I feel
it’s too heavy ( pls advise me your feedback on this )
 The bamboo sheet pattern is also great option with the wood flow.

B- Principles:

1- Balance:

 The overall look is symmetrical with feeling of movement .

 Good balance between wooden items.

2- Rhythm:

 Repetition is found in the colour schemes.

 Alteration is found in the photo frames.

3- Emphasis:

 The ID is focusing here on the billiard table with all elements and giving feeling of
movement around it with flooring and light options too.

4- Proportion and scale:

 The ID has used dark shades of wood in ceiling and walls more like 70% of the overall
space.
 Sizes/ weights of diagonal ceiling, light are practical to a billiard room.
 The scale and proportions of photo frames are good to emphasis them on the wall .
 The pattern size of the flooring is also looks ok.

5- Harmony:

The ID has succeeded to give playful bar feeling billiard area with a touch of elegance
to space along with the inviting feeling with a combination of elements to add more
welcoming feeling to guests and family members as follows:
 Shape: Diagonal ceiling and flooring pattern to give feeling of height and
movement.
 Colour: the shades of dark stained wood to emphasis the billiard table and
also the brown leather sofa to complete the overall look.
 Texture: wood is the main element here varying from bamboo to solid wood
to veneered panels and artificial flooring the leather seat was the perfect
match.
 Line: Diagonal line has been used in ceiling, flooring to improve the
movement effect.
 Materials: Wood, leather and SS are perfect combination for such area.
