the required documents are received in our office*. When available, rush service typically
takes half the time from the date on which all the required documents are received in our
office*, including the official receipt of documents from your educational authority. Please
note there may be some cases where we cannot proceed on a ‘rush’ basis. We reserve
the right to reject a rush request if it is so warranted. Note, rush service also requires
additional fees and is subject to availability.
* Note: When ICES gives an estimated time of completion, the timelines are not calculated from the day that the client
applies, but calculated from the day that all required documents and payment are received. Please note that timelines
are an estimate only and not a guarantee.

Documents required for your application
1. Colour photocopy of a government issued photo identification containing your date of

birth (e.g. passport, driver’s license, etc.)
2. Colour photocopies of the front and back of each final award (e.g. degree, diploma,
certificate, etc.)
3. Colour photocopies of the front and back of each academic record (e.g. transcript,
marks cards, diploma supplement, etc.)
4. Photocopies of the literal (not interpretive) certified translations of each of these
documents into English or French if your documents are in a foreign language.
5. Please upload PDF scans of your documents, each document should not exceed 5mb
in size.
6. Attaching the specified supporting documents is mandatory and failure to do so will
result in the delay the processing of your application. Please note, only one document
can be uploaded at a time.
7. Arrange for official documents to be sent directly to ICES. For more information about
official document requirements, please see this requirement link.

Terms and conditions

I understand that there are no refunds provided once I apply.
I understand that this Educational Credential Assessment Report will be valid for a period of five years from
the date it is issued, as per CIC’s requirement.
I understand when ICES gives an estimated time of completion, it is calculated from the day the required
documents are supplied to ICES. It is not calculated from the day I apply.
I agree that ICES may retain my personal non-financial information for ten years from the date of my
application, and that it may retain this information indefinitely especially if ICES determines that my
documents are not authentic.
I understand that measures will be taken in the event that my documents are determined to be false,
including the nullification of any Educational Credential Assessment Reports already issued and notification
to CIC and other assessment agencies, which will include my name and date of birth.
I hereby release ICES, its agents, and any person or entity that provides information in accordance with this
consent, from any and all actions, claims and demands for damages, loss, expense or injury, howsoever
arising, which may hereafter be sustained by me as a result of the provision, collection, use or disclosure of
information as set out above.
I understand that ICES reserves the right to reject my application if it does not meet their requirements,
policies or scope of operations.
The evaluations conducted by ICES are advisory only. ICES evaluation reports do not guarantee, replace or
supersede assessments required by professional associations, educational institutions or other
organizations.
Any new educational documents submitted after an evaluation report has been completed will be subject to a
re-evaluation fee.
ICES reserves the right to verify educational credentials with the issuing institution/authority including, but not
limited to, sending copies of transcripts to the institution/authority for verification and/or authentication.
ICES is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
Reports will not be released until all fees are paid in full.

Information on altered or falsified documents will be shared with the Association of Universities and Colleges
