I will develop my leadership in Teaching and Learning: Student Led Classroom

GOAL: Guide students to take ownership of their learning with me as a guide and they as
running the whole lesson from choosing objectives to choose of assessment.
OBJECTIVE: Using all the depths of knowledge levels to create a list of guided questions to ask
and create a student-led leaning environment.
RATIONALE: Reflects new Next Generation Science Standards emphasis on engineering.
NBPTS: Proposition 3: Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring student learning.
TLMD: Domain 4. Facilitating Improvements in Instruction and Student Learning.
TEACHER INQUIRY: Provide appropriate guidance evolve my classroom from teacher led to
student led

I will develop my leadership in Professional Development


GOAL: Provide instructional coaching and sharing of resources to incoming teachers.
RATIONALE: Taking a leadership role has proven to provide many benefits including feeling
less excluded and getting a better understanding of school goals and how to attain them.
NBPTS: Proposition 5: Teachers are members of learning communities.
TLMD: Domain 3. Promoting Professional Learning for Continuous Improvement.
OBJECTIVE: Serve as an instructional coach for new teacher coming into CAVA Fall of 2020.

I will develop my leadership in Student Assessment


GOAL: Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative assessments keeping Mastery of Content
Tracker (MOST tracker) up to date to have accurate student DATA.
RATIONALE: Using a variety of sources to assess student’s mastery of standards will giver
equitable opportunity for all types of learners to show such mastery including ELL’s, students on
IEP’s and those who stress to test.
NBPTS: Proposition 3: Teachers are responsible for managing and monitoring student learning.
TLMD: Domain 5. Promoting the Use of Assessments and Data for School and District
Improvement.
OBJECTIVE: Give equal opportunity to all students to be successful.
