Lesson
Review the multiplication process with students
I do: I will find product of decimals volunteered by students, explaining the steps and
showing my work using the black board connect whiteboard. I will remind students that
they are expected to show their work also.
We do: We will find the product of a decimals together. I will ask students to walk me
through the process like they are teaching it to me, and I jump in when needed.
You do: Students will find the product of decimals on their own I will volunteer the
decimals they are to solve for. Students will type the answer in the chat at the same time
(informal assessment). One volunteer will complete the problem showing his/her work.
I will ask for any questions.
Allow time for students to challenge one another creating decimal multiplication
problems and solving one created from another classmate.

Assessment
Students will take the lesson quiz after the complete solo online lesson.
Grade for understanding and determine what needs to be retaught or who needs to ne
invited to academic support sessions.

Instructional Levels:
Below Basic (BB) Students
This lesson may take more than one Class Connect session these students meet with me 4
times a week for 30 minutes.

Basic Students meet 4 days a week for 30 minutes.

This lesson might not take more than one Class Connect session.

Proficient and Advanced Students meet 2 days a week

This lesson will only take one Class Connect session will move on to word problems if
time allows.

Strategies:
ELL: Math product of a decimals will be written down step by step where student can see
the process as I narrate what I am doing. I will model the steps and process and show
students what a finished product should look like.

504: This is a visual learner. I will make use of math videos that will break down step by
step how to solve the problems. I will also demonstrate myself on the board how to write
down the multiplication of decimals problems. I make the videos and notes of the
equations available through the Online Middle School class announcements page where
students can access them as needed.

Unmotivated: Student will receive raffle entries (to choose our daily theme song for our
Math class) for attending CC session, participating in the class, and completing the daily
lesson.
