Part Writing Checklist

____ In Chord Menu is Ti-Do and Fa-mi (in a V7 chord)

____ Did you double the 5th in 6/4 chords

____ Did you double the root (in soprano) for I6 chords?

____in minor chords, did you double the 3rd? (this is allowed). ii6,

____ Is there a VI? IF so- double the 3rd.

____ Double check- NO DOUBLING OF THE 7ths!

____ Check for Contrary motion between Bass/Soprano

____ Check for Spacing between S/A, A/T, TB

____ Look for Parallel 5th/8ve

____ Are there any 5th/8ve between outer voices in your composition? If so, are you
approaching by step in the soprano? (Hidden/Direct 5ths)
