OpenWalls is a new international award series
from 1854 Media, aimed at creating opportunities
for emerging and established photographers to
exhibit their work in locations around the world.
Entries to the first instalment closed earlier this
year, and the 50 winning images will be exhibited
at Galerie Huit Arles to coincide with the 50th
edition of Les Rencontres d’Arles in 2019.
OpenWalls is a themed competition, which
is being judged as a single-image contest. The
theme changes annually, and the first edition
invited responses to ‘Home & Away’. Alongside
being part of a month-long group exhibition,
three winners will also be invited to attend the
photographic festival at which their work is
exhibited, and will receive a dedicated feature on
BJP-online.
