Week 3 - Presentation
(Instructions)

Week: 3
Task: “Making predictions”
Deadline: Last day of the week.
Instructions: Film yourself giving a presentation about predictions in your city, transport, space
travel , health & medicine OR environment (Choose three). The video should last 1’00 - 1’20
minutes.

STEPS:

I. BEFORE RECORDING:

1.1. First draft:

 Do these exercises on MyELT:

Unit 9 Being effective / Presentation 5: Making predictions (This part is very important).

Important:

1. This text will be your video script so make it interesting to the audience.
2. Use the vocabulary and grammar structures practiced.
3. Practice several times before recording the final version of your video.

1.2. Second draft:

 Download the document “Week 3 - Presentation (Template)” and write the final version of
your script (make the necessary corrections).

II. WHILE RECORDING :

2.1. Use youtube.com to make the video.


2.2. Film yourself giving your presentation using the information of your script
2.3. Test your video works well before sharing the link. Change video privacy setting to “Public”
so your teacher can view it.
2.4. You can also use any other software to make your video.
2.5. Remember your video should last 1’00 - 1’20 minutes.

Important:

 Be concise (Unit 7 - pg. 11 )


 Give your audience directions about what you are going to say. (Signposting Unit 8 - pg. 21 )
 Give a demonstration if possible (Unit 9 - pg. 33)
 Speak as clearly as possible.
 Smile.
 Be in a well-lit area.
 Be confident.
 Do not forget to look at the camera when you speak.
 Don’t just read.
 Look at the camera when you speak

III. AFTER RECORDING:

3.1. Upload the document “Week 3 - Presentation (Template)” including all the information
needed.
3.2. Make sure you paste the link of your video and write the script in this word document.
3.3. Upload the document before the deadline.
3.4. Once you get your score, read the feedback provided by your teacher.

Important:

 Your presentation will be graded only if you upload it before the deadline using the template
enclosed.
