The development of globalization has accelerated the widen of international language such as

English, Spanish and Mandarin and threated to the existence of many minority languages.
Some countries have taken steps to protect minority languages. From my perspective, it is
important to conserve minority languages.

First of all, a language is representative of a nation, therefore the preservation of the national
language is a way to save the identity of a country. That is a method to voice their pride to their
homecountry.

Besides, the language plays an important part in the cultural values. Thus, it is important to
prevent language from disappearance may be likened to maintain a country’s culture every
nation. That’s reasons that government should encourage its citizen to use their language more
often and try to spread those languages.

In conclusion, the work of maintaining the minority language may bring significant benefits to
the country as patriotism. I believe that it is important to protect minority languages as it
followed with the cultural values.
