EASY

1. POTPOURRI- /ˌpōpəˈrē/ - a mixture of dried petals and spices placed in a bowl or small sack to
perfume clothing or a room.
Sample Sentence: While he had no business clogging up her life with a potpourri of unsubstantiated
garbage, it was equally unfair to have a relationship while holding back the truth from someone you
cared for.
2. MASSEUSE- /maˈso͞os,maˈso͞oz/ - a woman who provides massage professionally.
Sample Sentence: A bedroom can come with a personal masseuse, but if it doesn't match your
personal tastes it will never be a truly restful space for you.

3. REQUIEM- /ˈrekwēəm/ - a mass for the repose of the souls of the dead.
Sample Sentence: She had selected "Pie Jesu" from Faure's Requiem, vocally, a very difficult piece.

4. KOINONIA- /ˌkoinəˈnēə/ - Christian fellowship or communion, with God or, more commonly, with
fellow Christians.
Sample Sentence: Koinonia Farm, an interracial Christian community, was organized near Americus in
1942.

5. JODHPURS- /ˈjädpərz/ - full-length trousers, worn for horseback riding, that are close-fitting below the

worms") is a traditional type of pasta round in section similar to spaghetti, but thinner in diameter. The

4. KAFFEEKLATSCH- /ˈkafāˌklaCH/ - an informal social gathering at which coffee is served.


Sample Sentence: There is a kaffeeklatsch every morning if you want to attend.

5. AIGUILLETTE- /ˌāɡwəˈlet/ - an ornament on some military and naval uniforms, consisting of braided
loops hanging from the shoulder and on dress uniforms ending in points.

battles.

9. SARRUSOPHONE- /səˈro͞ozəˌfōn,-ˈrəsə-/ - a member of a family of wind instruments similar to


saxophones but with a double reed like an oboe.
Sample Sentence: The Soprano sarrusophone is a member of the sarrusophones.

10. VICHYSSOISE- /ˌvēSHēˈswäz/ - a soup made with potatoes, leeks, and cream and typically served
chilled.
Sample Sentence: I announced to my kids the kind of soup that I wanted to make they began pining for
