English literature, the body of written works produced in the English language by inhabitants of the British Isles (including

Ireland) from the 7th


century to the present day. English literature have different period where you can see the development of English literature.
The Old English epic poem Beowulf tells the story of a young Geatish warrior who comes to the aid of Hrothgar, the King of the Danes, whose
kingdom is being terrorized by a monster named Grendel. Beowulf uses his epic strength and bravery to slay Grendel in Hrothgar’s mead hall,
Heorot, and then to slay Grendel’s vengeful mother in her underwater lair. Beowulf’s fame spreads, and he returns home to Geatland laden with
treasure for his king, Hygelac. Beowulf later becomes the king of the Geats and rules for a peaceful fifty years. When a dragon begins to pose a
threat to Geatland, Beowulf and his servant Wiglaf set off to defeat it. Beowulf succeeds in slaying the dragon, but dies in the proce
American literature is a rich body of literature. It refers to all literary works that has been publish in United States and produce by many great
writers through the century.
This poem is about a man who is walking in the forest and while he is walking he saw a two roads which are diverged at a point. The man needs
to choose which road would he take. One road is preferred by everyone and another one is less travelled by. The road which is less travelled by
everyone is full of leaves scattered here and there. The man wants to go down on both the roads at the same time but it is impossible so he
takes the road that is less travel of everyone. While taking that road the man thinks that it is difficult to comeback because he already walks very
far and the road he chooses leads to another road.
