PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

1. Variable orifice technology centers flow within the pipe, protecting the valve body and downstream piping.

2. Custom engineered for each application to optimize control.

3. Modular design with field replaceable trim components significantly reduces life cost of valve.
4. Robust wear resistant materials provide a quantum leap in service life (generally 3-10 times longer than other
severe service control valves).

INDUSTRY DESIGN CODES

Industry codes for design, fabrication, testing and quality control:

ASME B16.34: Valve design and testing ASME Section IX: Pressure containing weld procedure qualifications
ASME B16.5 & B16.47: Flange rating and construction MSS-SP 81 and 135: Valve face-to-face and pressure ratings
ASME Section VIII Div 1: Non-destructive examination ANSI FCI 70-2: Leakage class designation for metal seated control valves

SlurryFlo manufactures a full range of ANSI 150, ANSI 300 and ANSI 600 control valves.

STANDARD PRODUCT DESIGN
TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE RATING:
SlurryFlo follows ASME B16.34 pressure and temperature rating system (ANSI Pressure Rating).
The maximum design temperature for our control valve is 230°C (450°F).
The maximum design pressure for our control valve is based on the ANSI 600 rating of 1480 Psi (10204 kPa).

SOLID CONTENT IN PROCESS MEDIA:

The control valve design is available with two bonnet configurations:

Enclosed Bonnet: rated up to 25% solids by volume *

Open Bonnet: recommended for % solids exceeding 25% **

* Depending on the composition and unique characteristics of the fluid, SlurryFlo may
select an open bonnet design for lower % solids. The guidelines above are a general
rule and the final design decision is dependent on each application.

** The maximum % solids for the enclosed bonnet design will be evaluated on the
case-by-case basis for each application.

FLOW DIRECTION AND PIPING LAYOUT:

SlurryFlo control valves are designed for uni-directional flow and must
be installed between pipe flanges (no dead-end service where the
outlet pipe is removed with pressure upstream).

It is best to install the valve with a sufficient length of straight pipe (both
upstream and downstream) to reduce turbulence. The following set-up
is recommended:

3X pipe diameters of straight pipe upstream.

6X pipe diameters of straight pipe downstream. *

* If an application cannot accommodate the recommended piping set-up,

please consult SlurryFlo.

AUTOMATION PACKAGE: OPTIONAL MATERIALS:

The standard offering for a control valve automation SlurryFlo Control Valves can be designed with a
package (actuation and control system) is pneumatic with variety of exotic materials (alloys, as well as composite
a digital positioner. SlurryFlo can work with the client and materials) to suite corrosive and erosive applications.
provide alternate automation options as required.
