Extracurricular Experience

Describe the activities you have participated in. These might include sports, ASB, clubs, theater,
church groups, or other organized activities outside of regular school hours.
I participate in sport activities throughout my freshman year.

On average, how many hours do you dedicate to your extracurricular life each week or month?
On average, I played on the school volleyball after school everyday for 2 hours until the
season was over. Then I started Club V which is an out of school organization for volleyball. I
play every Sunday for 2 hours and our team has tournaments once a month. I also started playing
softball at the end of the school year. I practice for 2 hours everyday after school.

Have you enjoyed your extracurricular experiences so far? Why or why not?
Yes, I have these activities bring me joy and show my personal growth.

What kinds of soft skills, academic skills, and/or specialized training have you needed to use to
participate fully in these experiences?
The soft skills I used was learning how to be coachable and ask questions to my
advantage of growing in this sport. The academic skills I used were volunteering to keep score
and do book for the other teams. My coaches have used their specialized training to help become
a better player.

How might these skills be used in a career or college environment?

These skills include interacting with others and working as a team to be successful.

What have learned about yourself so far by participating in extracurricular activities?

I have learned that I am someone who excels with a good learning and coaching
environment with friendly and encouraging people to surround me.
