The Data
The data is based on that shown on the classicalguitardelcamp.com forum at the start of the following thread: "Professiona
guitars":
https://www.classicalguitardelcamp.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=34133
Only guitarists/ensembles where there are named luthiers are included, e.g. if there is a guitarist with no luthier information
data, that guitarist will not have been included in this spreadsheet.
For guitarists who are part of an ensembles, the details are shown against the guitarist, rather than the ensemble.
In order to make things straightforward and to avoid any confusion the names in the Data sheet are in the format <last part
parts>, and the Player-Luther and Luthier-Player lists are sorted by the last part of the name.
"Guitarist-Guitars_List" Sheet
Lists the guitars each guitarist is known to have owned or played.
Clicking on any Guitar will take you to the Luthier on the "Luthier-Guitarist_List" sheet.
The contents of this sheet are protected.
"Luthier-Guitarist_List" Sheet
Lists the guitarists that are known to have owned or played each Luthier's instruments.
Clicking on any Guitarist will take you to that Guitarist on the "Guitarist-Guitars_List" sheet,

"Data" Sheet
The "Data" sheet, as downloaded, is sorted by Guitarist and then by Luthier within each Guitarist. The sort order can be ch
user (see Flters below).
Where the original data has been edited, or where there are additional comments, a note is shown in green and brackets w
Guitar Info column.
"Ensemble Info": As uploaded, this is hidden. It is to the right of the "Ensemble"column and contains the names of the mem
ensembles. The column can be displayed/hidden depending on your preference.
These are shown by small buttons on the right of each column heading,
Clicking on the column button displays drop down list which will show sort options at the top, followed by a consolidated lis
(e.g. a list of luthiers, etc depending on the column). If the sort options aren't showing - scroll the list up to reveal them.
If you click on an item from the list (e.g. a luthier name) it will filter the data so that only the data relevant to that selection is
When the data is filtered the row numbers to the left that relate to the filtered data are shown in a different colour.
The filter can be cancelled by clicking the column button and selecting "(All)". In Excel 2003 there is also a way to "show a
- Show All), there must be a similar option in later versions of Excel but I can't guide you to it. However, I have provided a "
Filters" button (above the Guitar Info column) that will clear all filters and reset the sort order.
To sort as column: click on the filter button and select "Sort Ascending" or Sort Descending" from the options at the top of t
list. (If they don't initially appear, scroll up the drop down list.)
If you want to sort the data based on two colums, e.g. Luthier order and then in Guitarist order within each Luthier: first so
sort (e.g. Guitarist), then by the primary sort (e.g. Luthier).
Note: if you sort a column while the data is filtered - only the displayed rows will be sorted. Their sort order will be kept whe
removed - potentially leaving those rows in a different sort order to the rest of the data. - So re-sort afterwards.
After using the filters to select data, it is a good idea to cancel all the filters you have set:
Clicking on the "Reset Sort & Filters" button will clear all column filters and reset the sort order to Guitarist-Luthier-GuitarIn
