DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE (2019)

Barangay Villa Agulana is located along the upper Cagayan River basin. It is sandwiched between Villa
Ylanan at the North, San Perdo at the West, and Villa Gracia to the South and bordered by the Sierra Madre
Ranges at the East. It is geographically located within the longitude of 125 degrees and 40 minutes and latitude
of 18 degrees and 12 minutes. It has a land area of 7,447 hectares based on the total land area and land
utilization in hectares recorded by the Department of Agriculture

Interpretation: The above table depicts the population distribution per purok. In purok 1 there are 115
individuals, purok 2 there are 140, purok 3 there are 129, purok 4 there are 72 and lastly purok 5 thee are 80.
The most numbered purok is purok 2 and the least numbered is purok 4.

Interpretation: The above table shows the age –sex distribution of the barangay. There are more males
with 274 individuals than females with 262 individuals. Ages 5-9 are the most numbered individuals in terms of
age group while the least numbered age group are ages 65-69

 Interpretation: The pyramid depicts the population index of Barangay Villa Agullana. It shows that the
highest age group in male is ranging 10-14 years old with 33 individuals, while in female is 5 to 9, 65 and with
34 individuals which entails the pyramid has a wide base that indicates a youthful population or young
dependents (0-14 years old)as a result of high birth rates, and a narrow top which includes the elderly
people( 60+ years old) since there are fewer people in the older age groups, because life expectancy is lower.
And there is also large proportion for the working age (15-59 years old) which indicates there is a large group of
economically active populace. The pyramid also displays more males which indicate that men are living to older
ages than women.
