(Hand Skill Forms; 手技型)1

Name Translation Description

Omote Gyaku Dori Outside Reverse Grasp; 表逆捕 Put the thumb into the back of the hand of the
enemy, seize the enemy’s palm with the four
fingers. Reverse the small joint.

Ura Gyaku Dori Inside reverse Grasp; 裏逆捕 Put the thumb in the back of the enemy’s hand.
The four fingers catch hold of the palm from
where the thumb is. Reverse this, the enemy falls
face down.
Chinken Camellia Fist; 椿拳2 Also called Sōga (Claws and Tusk; 爪牙).
Suiken Drowsy Fist; 睡拳 Place the four fingers together, bend slightly and
thrust with the four fingers.
Kōken Striking Fist; 扣拳 Also called Sōsai Shiken (Meaning Killing each
other; 粗殺指拳). Using the thumb.
Ōken Detaining Fist; 押拳 Clench the hand, extend the middle joint of the
thumb and apply pressure with the fist.
Kōken3 Fox fist; 狐拳 Middle three fingers fist.
Ryūken Halting Fist; 留拳 Middle two fingers folded.
Gōsha Kudaki Crushing a Strong Person; Hook the enemy’s shoulder with the right hand,
剛者砕 wrap my right hand from above and sit in form
on the right leg.
Musō Dori Unparalleled Capture; 無双捕 Receive the enemy’s fist with a cross, grasp the
enemy’s elbow with the right hand and pull, grip
the enemy’s wrist with the left hand, the form
that breaks the enemy’s hand outward. The
enemy’s hand is folded outward and broken.
Bassoku Walking Foot; 跋足 When using the legs.
Sekisoku Sole of the Foot; 跖足 When using the shins.
Happō Ukemi Eight Direction receiving; 八方受 If you receive the right, pull the left foot, drop
the hips as you receive. If you receive with your
left hand, pull the right foot, the waist drops, if
you receive the feet with the hands, than receive
with a smashing strike to the enemy’s leg in order
to break it.

 手技型
表逆捕り 親指を敵の手の甲にかくのごとく置いて、四指を敵の手の掌を掴む。小関節は逆と
なる。

裏逆捕り 親指を敵の手の甲にかくのごとく置いて、四指を敵の親指の方から掴む。逆となり、
俯けに倒る。

椿拳 爪牙とも言う。

睡拳 四指を揃えて、一寸かがめて四指にて突く。

扣拳 相殺指拳とも言う。 親指。

押拳 手を握り、親指中関節を立て押す拳。

狐拳 中三指拳。

留拳 中二指を充分曲げる。

剛者砕 敵を右手を肩に掛け、我が右手上より巻いて右足で座す型。

無双捕 敵を拳を十文字にて受け、 右手で敵の肘を掴み引き、左手にて手首を掴み、 敵の

手を外に折る型。 敵の手は外側に逆折れとなる。

跋足 足を使用する場合。

跖足 すねの使用の場合。

八方受 右を受ける場合、
左足を引き、 腰を落し受け
る。 左手で受ける場合、
右足を引き、 腰を落し、
足を手にて受ける場合は、
拳にして必ず敵足の摧まには
摧を打ちて受けること。
