Technical Requirements

Bahria Town invite’s Mobilink Business Services Division to propose Voice connectivity solution for their
Karachi Office. Following are the client requirements.

Proposed Technical Solution

To cater the client’s requirement, Mobilink BSD is proposing State-of-the-art technologies, services &
equipment. Following are the highlights of proposed solution.

Site Last Mile Bandwidth/Capacity

Bahria Town Karachi (2011485905) Existing MF 1 PRI (4 Mbps)

Solution Description

1. Existing Fiber optic has been proposed for fixed voice services at Bahria town Karachi.
2. Internet is already provisioned on this fiber optic.
3. Two VLAN are required to segregate internet & voice traffic over existing fiber optic link.
4. Layer-2 switch will be deployed to segregate internet and voice traffic at Bahria Town Karachi.
5. Fiber to Ethernet media converter will be provided with Fast Ethernet hand off at client end.
6. 2 Mbps data bandwidth will be provisioned for fixed voice services at Bahria Town Karachi.
7. SIP Trunk on Ethernet.

SIP Trunk Connectivity

1. Connectivity to Mobilink NGN server will be established via SIP Trunk.


2. Ethernet Interface will be provided from POE.
3. SIP Trunk will be configured between client’s IP PBX & Mobilink SIP Server.
4. Client’s IP PBX should have support of standard SIP signaling and SIP Trunk Group parameters
(mentioned below).
o TG parameters
 (1) Default Caller Number (Master Number of PBX Group)
 (2) Outgoing Trunk Type (We use SIP-Trunk)
 (3) Codec List (G.711a, G.711u)
 (4) Local Server Port (Normally it is 5060)
 (5) Remote URI 1 (Peer end IP address)

 (6) Protocol Type (SIP over UDP)


5. Mobilink BSD will provide IP address & default SIP Trunk parameters for SIP trunk establishment.

General Description for SIP Trunk Solution

6. Master number will be provided from Mobilink BSD in E.164 format.


7. This number will be regional local number e.g. 021-xxxxxxxx.
8. All 10 VoIP lines will use this number as there inbound/outbound caller ID.
9. It is client’s responsibility to distribute 30 VoIP lines to different users (extensions) through
IP PBX for incoming calls.
10. Nationwide reach ability on landline and all GSM networks will be provided.
11. Configuration on client’s IP PBX will be done by client himself.
12. Client will be responsible for local infrastructure i.e. cabling/analog/IP telephone provisioning
etc.

Fiber Optic Deployment Pre-requisites

1 4U rack or 4U rack space in existing rack is required for the


Equipment Rack installation of ODF, Fiber MC.

2 Required for maintaining the proper temperature for


Air Conditioning communication equipment i.e. (16-20 Centigrade).

3 Site related permissions are client’s responsibility to carry


out physical installation, commission and integrate the link.
Site related permission/access This may also require post deployment rectification of the
faults etc.

4 Power/Generators This is optional and is required to provide uninterrupted


power supply in case of longer power failures. However
this is the responsibility of the customer to identify such
sites and take action to fulfill the requirement accordingly.

5 Point of Contacts In addition to the central point of contact, permanent


point of contacts for each and every location along with
their alternatives must be provided to Mobilink.

6 Security All possible measures should be taken to ensure security of


the equipment and prevent access of irrelevant persons,
animals, objects etc.

7 Cable Route Permission for Fiber Cable route.

8 Availability of UPS Powered power sockets to power up


Power Sockets Media converter.

9 Electrician Availability Local Electrician availability during deployment.

10 HSSE Policy / Deployment work SOP Client Need to share any HSSE Policy / Deployment Work
execution SOP (If any) need to be followed at client
location.

Disclaimer

 Solution has only been designed for the current requirement; In case of any additional
requirements amendments would be applicable accordingly as per revision process.
 Voice gateway/system and rest of the infrastructure will be managed by client.
 Kindly read all terms and conditions mentioned in equipment vendor quote.
 Customer must ensure availability of its own electrician at the time of installation.
 Mobilink will only provide WAN connectivity for Voice Services.
 Any acute requirement will be shared if it is raised by Client or building Management during
Deployment.
 Permission arrangements for any activity at client side (Building/Office/etc) will be client’s
responsibility.
 PRI cabling from SIP - PRI gateway to Customer-end PABX will be client’s responsibility.
 Additional length of Ethernet cable from media converter to PABX/SIP to PRI Gateway will be
client’s responsibility.
 Extra cost should be kept in consideration during Budgeting to cater any acute requirement
during the deployment.
 UAN feature is not currently available with the product hence as of yet cannot be provided if
requested.
 Video Conferencing is not tested, hence not embedded in the solution.
 FAX services are not provided in this solution (in testing Phase)
 Number masking and overriding is not allowed.
 Hardware/software/licenses required on existing PABX for PRI termination and functioning will
be customer’s responsibility.
 Any configuration required on customer-end PABX will be customer’s responsibility only.
 Pre-requisites are mentioned in this document, which should be catered before deployment.
Onsite acute requirement will be shared at the time of deployment.
 If client is using this Voice for call center traffic than necessary documentation will be required
form client.
 For call rates kindly coordinate with pricing.
 IP PBX and rest of the infrastructure will be managed by client himself.
 As different teams & dept. are involved therefore longer delays can occur while troubleshooting.
 LAN Management or extra WAN equipment will be the client’s responsibility.
 Client will be responsible for arranging permissions at client side for any activity.
