Curriculum Development and Update Policy

OBJECTIVE : to ensure the regular update of Curriculum and its responsiveness

to the needs of the time and standards set by DepEd.

Procedure :

1. The Curriculum Committee shall be formed with the following composition:

a. Principal
b. Chosen representative from each discipline/area
c. Academic Supervisor

2. The Committee shall meet quarterly for:

a. Evaluation of the curriculum implementation
If the School’s MVPIG is properly incorporated
If it allows flexibility
If it has a realistic coverage
If it promotes interdisciplinary approaches
If it covers 21st Century learning
If the assessment strategies implemented can truly capture
students’ learning
If the teaching strategies implemented are student-centered
If teaching materials/tools are adequate

b. Proposed Updates to the curriculum based on DepEd updates, INSET

and results of curriculum evaluation.

3. Proposals of the Committee shall be submitted to the top management for

approval a month before the start of the regular Academic Year.

4. Approved Curriculum updates shall be implemented during the immediate

following A/Y.
