Conclusion

Along the lines of every data that the researchers managed to gather, they arrived at a firm
conclusion that dengue fever is a serious issue or epidemic here in the Philippines that needed an
immediately response. According to the Department of Health records and Leila Jane Narag, the doctor
overseeing the pediatric ward at the Tondo medical facility, there were 146, 062 cases recorded since
January up to July 20 this year, 98% higher than the same period in 2018. The deaths was already 622 as
of July 20 this year. The Region that is mostly infected by the disease Base on the DOH
Dengue Surveillance Report is Region VI (Western Visayas) had the most number of cases at
23,330.
According to the DOH there is still no cure for Dengue because even the Dengvaxia
that was used for immunization campaign in different schools was suspended because there was
a findings that it may not be effective in some cases and may lead to more severe symptoms of
dengue among those who have not been previously infected.
It is seriously alarming and needed a rapid action, not only by the government but also by the
cooperation of the humankind. If there has no cure for this epidemic fever, the only way to do is to find
a way on how to prevent it.
Therefore, instead of depending in the vaccines and medicines, the humankind can play an
important role even by simply cleaning their surroundings and removing stag water from the empty
containers that where mosquito can lay their eggs. Like the proposed idea of Health Secretary Francisco
Duque III called “4S Strategy” and for the Government part, they need to make a plan and rapid action
about the facilities, equipment and medicine for the dengue patients and regular visit to every barangay
for monitoring if there have any changes, its either positive or negative.
