Background of the problem

The project was based on research from Rizal High School located in Dr. Sixto Ave. Antonio,
Pasig City. Most of the schools hire a gardener or have all-around maintenance personnel, to take
charge of trimming the large fields. Mr. Joven Cruz the maintenance personnel of the school,
who is also responsible for monitoring and mowing the grasses used a manually or mechanically
driven lawnmower to cut the grass where he spends 4-6 hours mowing a total of approximately
1-hectare area, depending on how long and thick the grasses are. This scenario involved much
effort and energy for him which consider a problem to his part. Also, the field mowed once every
two weeks and depending on the grass if it reaches 3 inches long. Considering the fuel cost is too
expensive on their side as well. According to him, each machine has 3 liters of gas gauged that
can mowing for almost an hour they estimated 500 pesos for uses of fuel per mowing machine.
The school has 3 manual lawn mower and it cost 1,500 pesos for gasoline once a month.

Specific Problem

Path-tracking

If the path is not suitable for tracking they will mow randomly there will have a tendency out of
control from tracking.

Rechargeable battery and solar charging

The automated grass cutter to be developed will have a rechargeable battery to restore power
from solar light energy when there is no presence of light they cannot conducting energy so they
will not able to charge.

Transmission between automated lawnmower to the mobile application

The connectivity of a device between the lawnmower is Bluetooth. The range of Bluetooth is 100
meters if the device overlap this range the transmission would be lost while manually operated.
