In a practical way we say that when two teeth are dull based on touch and vision, you should replace the cam. This is
really easy to determine, as people who inspect & test lifting equipment can easily feel when teeth are dull or worn
out.
Also if you compare this visually with the good teeth you can easily spot the difference. Please check the image
examples below.
For the pivot we advice to replace this when more than 50 % of one ring is dull.

Dear
Thank you very much on your instruction documentation. Could you advise me the method how to
measure the wearing of teeth as below ?
Do we have any means how to define the limit of wear/ dull of teeth to compare with the criterion ?

The clamps in the picture are older than 6 years. In 2013 we have changed the design of the pads.
For us this is already an indicator that this clamp has been used for a while. (also the lock lever is
missing? - which is not a common replace part)
If we look at the pictures, we can see that the housing of the clamp is probably deformed as well.
Also these pads are not glued, but casted on the steel. If the clamp is overloaded the force will pull
the plastic from the pads.
Therefore we can say that judged on this picture this clamp has been overloaded and cannot be
used or repaired in any way.
Please stop using the clamp and make the clamp unfit for further use .
