Cameron Knowles enters his third season as head coach of T2, the Timbers’ USL
Championship affiliate. In 2018, Knowles led the club to a regular-season record of 17-
13-4 (55pts) on the way to qualifying for the club’s first postseason appearance. Knowles,
who holds a U.S. Soccer Pro License – the highest soccer license recognized in North
America and the peak of the U.S. Soccer coaching education pathway, was named T2
head coach on Jan. 8, 2018, after spending six seasons as an assistant coach for the
Timbers. Knowles was part of the Timbers coaching staff that won MLS Cup in 2015.
Drafted by Real Salt Lake in the 2005 MLS Supplemental Draft, Knowles played profes-
sionally for seven seasons, including two seasons in MLS and four with the USL Timbers
from 2007-10. During his playing career with the Timbers, Knowles was a three-time USL
First Division all-league selection and helped Portland claim the Commissioner’s Cup in
2009 as the league’s regular-season champion. He was a finalist for the league’s Defend-

The Stand Together mission is to harness the power of sport to improve the lives
of children and families in the Portland Metro Area through targeted programs,
deep partnerships, and philanthropic giving.
FOCUS
Our outreach aims to better the following areas of focus in the greater Portland area:
• YOUTH ACTIVITY - with an emphasis on the importance of play and embracing
diversity and all ability levels.
• YOUTH EDUCATION - with an emphasis on literacy, STEM programming and
social justice.
• ENVIRONMENT - with an emphasis on engaging local youth and their families to
