2. Know your audience. This means that you need to adapt the content of your writing

specialists in a particular area, th9e communication style should acknowledge this and
prepare strategies in order to give new insights in the topic. Lastly, are your audience
well versed in terminology relevant to your topic or should you use common words.
3. Know your topic. If you don’t know sufficient deatial about your topic and rely on the
audience having even less knowledge you aren’t being effective. Anticipate objections
and be prepared to accept them. Achieve credibility with your audience.
4. Adjust your speech or your writing to the context of situation. There is also a
reason that the speech is happening, the occasion for which the audience has gathered.
Each occasions has different norms for speaking, calling for speakers to operate in
different modes from formal to informal, from light to heavy, humorous to serious,
conversational to highly practiced.
5. Work on the feedback given to you. This means not interrupting. Hear the person
out, and listen to what they are really saying, not what you assume they will say. You
can absorb more information if you are concentrating on listening and understanding
rather than being defensive and focusing on your response.
1. Be clear with your purpose. You should know by heart your objectives in
communicating.

supported facts, data and information that are attributable to the topic

speech is a must..

gestures and movements. Exude a certain degree of confidence even if you do not feel
comfortable and confident enough.

message. The idea should be connected to each other and related to the topic. Make
sure that you observe word structure that will present a smooth flow of your ideas. Use
transitional or cohesive devices as that connects the ideas with one another.
6. COMPLETE- Include all necessary and relevant informationthat the audience will not
left wanting of any information. Always place your self in the shoes of the audience that
is always interested in receiving new information.

of your integrity as a person. One’s behavior and decision making style affects the
operations of an organization.
