Introduction of BCON

• BUILD.CONTROL is a deployment tool that could be used to install Non-


core T24 applications.

It provides with following facility

• Save programs, data libraries, local ref table definitions, standard selection
descriptors and release them in another T24 environment.

• Automatic authorization of restored data records using OFS.

• Release I-Descriptors.

• Update LOCAL.REF.TABLE with the saved definitions.

• Compile/Catalog the programs released

ACTION - SAVE / RELEASE
SAVE.PATH - Where to Save BCON
RELEASE.PATH - Where to Release
PROGRAM.BP - Source to get objects
RELEASE.BP - Objects to release in which BP
OFS.SOURCE.ID - To authorise restored DATA records
JBCDEV_LIB - Default by system if requires you can set
JBCDEV_BIN - Default by system if requires you can set

Package List

Enquiry – BUILD.CONTROL.PACKAGE to review content of package

Enquiry – BUILD.CONTROL.DL.DEFINE to show DATA records in pack

Saved Unit – The whole package saved in ../F.BCON.DATA/SAVE

Release BCON

Step1 – FTP (binary mode) the packed unit to F.BCON.DATA/RELEASE

Need to logout and login to get impact on objects
