INTRODUCTION

We MSc 1st and 2nd year conducted a HIV vaccine awareness program on the occasion of WORLD
AIDS VACCINE DAY on 18 may 2018 organized by child health nursing department.

We involved GNM 2nd year student and BSc Nursing 3rd year student because they are having child
health nursing in their curriculum.

EVENT - WORLD AIDS VACCINE DAY

OBJECTIVES

 To provide knowledge regarding HIV AIDS and vaccine of HIV AIDS.


 Provide knowledge regarding prevention on HIV AIDS
 Awareness regarding HIV Vaccine
 To clear doubt and wrong perception regarding HIV AIDS.

PROGRAM REPORT ( SESSION 1st )

We M.Sc Nursing students with the guidance of Mr. K.K Prsahar Sir, Mr. Arun Unnikrishanan Sir,
Mr. Arun R Sir and Mrs. Soumya V.R Mam organize the WORLD AIDS VACCINE DAY .

First we take the permission to organize the program from our respected principal Mam, Ex. Capt.
Mrs. Geeta Parwanda.

After all setting program started at 10.30am.

STEP- 1

Welcome speech by Binncy Student of M.Sc 2nd year. She introduce herself and introduce the topic
and welcome to our chief guest and our respected teacher and all students. She alight and share her
views on the occasion of World Aids Vaccine Day.
STEP – 2

After welcome of chief guest and our respected teacher one role play done by the GNM 2nd year
student. In this role play they show that the health personal should be aware while working in the
hospital and giving care to patient. If we will not be aware it can be harmful for both the health
worker and the patient.

STEP- 3

After the role play Mr. Arun R has also gives speech and information regarding Worlds Aids Vaccine
and the counseling should be given to the patient suffering from HIV AIDS. After that sir invite to
Mrs. Kalpana to share their viewsregarding AIDS Vaccine and how to prevent the HIV AIDS.
STEP- 4

Mrs. Kalpana discussed about the vaccine for Aids. She told us that till now there is no vaccine for the
prevent of HIV AIDS and no cure of HIV AIDS. But she gives us the information that some scientist
is working for finding the vaccine to prevent the AIDS Vaccine and hopefully they will be success to
find any solution to prevent and to cure HIV AIDS. She told the ELISA test is done to diagnose the
HIV AIDS.
STEP – 5

Refreshment provision session

We providedCold Drinks + chips + and some snacks) provided to all delegates.

SESSION – 2

Session 2 was started at 2.00pm.

In this session a panel discussion was conducted on HIV and HIV vaccination.

STEP – 1

Mrs. Soumya VR discussed about the HIV AIDS and hierarchical process of management of needle
stick injury. And the mode of transmission of HIV infection.

STEP – 2

After Mrs. Soumya VR , Mr. K.K Prashar discussed about the route of transmission of HIV AIDS.
Sir told us that the HIV AIDS can be transmitted from mother to baby but if we will take early
treatment we can prevent to transmit the HIV AIDS from mother to baby.

SUMMARY

Today on 18th May we finished AIDS Vaccine program regarding the awareness of AIDS Vaccine
and awareness about the AIDS Vaccine and HIV AIDS prevention.on the occasion of AIDS Vaccine
Day. First session was started at 10.30 am in which Firstly program started by Asst. Professor Mr.
Arun R.

Chief guest Mrs. Kalpana gives us information regarding the AIDS Vaccine and prevention of HIV
AIDS.

Vote for thanks given by Mr. K.K Prashar Sir and first session was finished at 1.00pm.

Second session was started at 2.00pm in which a Panel discussion was conducted. All the expert was
in that discussion who gives us information related to HIV AIDS. Second session is finished at
3.00pm.
