A thematic unit is a program structured around a central theme.

In other words, a set of lessons that

incorporate topics across the curriculum, such as algebra, reading, social studies, science, language arts,
etc., are all related to the unit's main theme. Each operation will concentrate primarily on the thematic
concept. A thematic unit is much wider than choosing just one subject.

Research shows that differentiating teaching is one of the most successful ways to meet the needs of all
the learners. Many teachers use differentiated instruction approaches because by embracing each
particular learning style, it helps them to involve their students. However, when you have a large group
of students, keeping up with the individual needs of each child can be difficult. It takes time to develop
distinct practices and put them into practice. Teachers have tried a variety of approaches to help keep
the workload manageable, from tiered tasks to boards of choice. Use the teacher-tested teaching
strategies to distinguish the elementary classroom instruction.

Cooperative learning is an educational strategy that allows small groups of students to work on a
common task. The criteria also differ, as students will work together on a variety of issues, ranging from
simple math problems to broad assignments such as proposing environmental solutions. Students are
sometimes responsible individually for their part or role in the assignment and sometimes they are held
accountable as a whole group
