TERMS & CONDITIONS


1 The / firm/ contractor must quote his rates including cost of engaging skilled/unskilled labour & all consumable such as POL etc. except for energy charges which shall be borne by the department.
2 The Firm/ Contractor shall engage all skilled/Unskilled labour for the smooth running of pumping machinery including persons responsible for watch & ward of pump house & all its fittings I/c Pumping machinery.

3 The scheme will not remain out of order for more than 24 hours at any time during contract period else penalty at following rates shall be charged: -
a) @ 0.50% per day of the quoted amount for R/M for First 48 hours.
b) @ 0.75% per day of the quoted amount for R/M for Next 48 hours.
c) @ 1% per day of the quoted amount for R/M for Next 48 hours.
d) @ 5% per day of the quoted amount for R/M for rest of period.
4 The contractor will hand over the scheme to the Deptt. After expiry of contract period in smooth running condition.
5 Security and all other deductions shall be made as per rules of the department.
6 Nothing will be paid for those periods during which the scheme will remain out of order due to fault of the Contractor.
7 The agreement will remain operative for 3 years for the date commissioning of the scheme, however the period can be extended with mutual consent.
8 Required discharge i.e. 1.8 LPS will be maintained by the contractor through out the contract period at delivery point.
9 Contract period can be increased to decrease at the desecration of the department.
10 No escalation will be allowed under any circumstances.
11 All the material to be used for repair work/replacement shall be of approved makes of department/BIS marked to the entire satisfaction of engineer in Charge.
12 The pump sets motor and electric equipments repaired by the contractor/Firm shall be guaranteed for one year after the expiry of contract period.
13 The dismantled material shall be property of the contractor/Firm.
14 Not with standing any thing mentioned above if any dispute arises regarding repair/replacement of parts/equipment etc. decision of the Engineer-in Charge will be final.
15 All valves such as Sluice, Reflex, and Foot valve fixed in pump house have to be kept operative without any leakage.
16 Contractor shall be not carry out any amendment or modifications to any accessories or equipments without approval Engineer-in-Charge.
17 If Department vehicle is deputed for carriage of equipment to workshop, it will be charged at the out turn rate.
18 Payment shall be made @ 20% of the award amount for each year for first three quarters & 40% at the end of last quarter.
19 The premises of the pump house will be kept open for inspection by any departmental Officer/officials.
20 The copy of Appointments made of skilled/unskilled labour for operation and maintenance of scheme will be supplied to the department by the contractor/firm.
21 Contractor shall train the department worker/official for operation and maintenance of pumps, if required will any extra cost.
