MAIKA PUDADER

We had our Pastoral Integration held at San Lorenzo Ruiz GKK, Brgy. GPS. It was

the morning of August 10,2019 when we first visited the said chapel. We planned together

as a class what we can do to conduct our activity with the children on the next meeting.

We were the first group and it was August 18, 2019. There were children and also high

school students. We sang, dance, and taught the 7 days of Creation. As I can see, they

really enjoyed the activity we organized as well as my classmates.

I have realized that all people everywhere at some time in their lives recognize that

they have spiritual needs. They need guidance and direction to find hope for eternity and

answers to the questions of life, especially the children. The bible tells how much God

care for us and it can give the real purpose of life. The bottom line of this is it is really

important to teach the children because they are the hope for the present and future of

the world. By simple act, it gives great impact to the lives of others as well as to me.

Our first task, as a Marist student, be with young people just as Jesus was with

people. Our second task is to help youth develop the eyes, ears, and heart of Jesus for

themselves. We’re not only called to be witnesses among young people, we are also

called, like Jesus, to be teachers. We’re called to awaken youth to the presence of God

in the worl. By these, I can still continue my participation in the church’s mission.
