The goal of the K TO 12 curriculum is to holistically develop Filipinos with 21 st century
skills and the development of learner’s cognitive competencies and skills must be complemented by the formation of their values and attitudes. To further strengthen the aforementioned goal, Month of January was declared by the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the National Bible Month. Thus, the San Jose Elementary School celebrated National Bible Month last 28 of January 2019 it aims to engage young people with God’s Word. The program started at exactly 8:00 in the morning, it started by a doxology c/o grade six pupils followed by the singing of National Anthem. Everyone was welcomed by Merlina A. Jubay, Grade two adviser. After welcoming all the visitors, it was immediately preceded by the singing of Christian choruses and reciting of memory verses by the pupils of SJES. It was also followed by the inspirational message of our guest speaker Rev. Jose Lacno, he emphasizes that the Bible is the most important book in the world, simply because it makes a promise of eternal life. In his little way the children as well as the parents are becoming aware of the importance of reading and studying the Bible. Also the Barangay captain of San Jose, Pastor L. Espina gave his message, he is thankful that our President Issued this Presidential Proclamation declaring that there is a bible month celebration. He also said that this is the first time that Barangay San Jose celebrated Bible Month. The program did not just end up with just a smile of everybody, but with learning that all of us need to read Bible and Pray every day for us to be enlightened and grow holistically.
