Gabay sa Magulang/Tagapag-alaga

Isinulat ang modyul na ito upang gabayan ang inyong anak na linangin ang
kaniyang aspetong pansarili at pakikipagkapuwa, akademiko, at karera. Dinisenyo ito
para sa distance learning o alternatibong pamamaraan ng pagkatuto na hindi
nangangailangan ng pisikal na presensya sa paaralan, bilang pag-iingat dulot ng
pandemyang COVID-19.

Hinihiling na basahin sa mag-aaral ang bawat bahagi ng modyul at gabayan siya


sa bawat gawain upang matagumpay na maisakatuparan ang mga tagubilin.
Siguraduhing maisagawa at masasagot ang mga gawain at katanungan (Processing
Questions).

Gawain 1: Pipiliin ng mag-aaral ang mga dapat gawin sa mga nabanggit na sitwasyon.

Gawain 2: Guguhit ang mag-aaral ng TATSULOK kung ang larawan ay


nagpapakita ng pangangalaga sa sarili at PARISUKAT kung
nagpapakita ng pangagalaga sa ibang tao.

Gawain 3: Guguhit ang mag-aaral ng larawan na nagpapakita kung paano niya


inaalagaan ang kanyang sarili o ibang tao.
Gawain 4: Guguhit ang mag-aaral ng MASAYANG MUKHA kung siya ay sumasang
ayon sa pangungusap at MALUNGKOT NA MUKHA kung hindi

Gawain 5: Kukumpletuhin ng mag-aaral ang mga nakasaad na pangungusap.

Tiyakin na ang lahat ng gawaing natapos sa bawat bahagi ng modyul ay


maipapasa sa petsa at oras na itinakda ng kanyang gurong-tagapayo.
Introductory Message
For the learner:

This module will guide you in taking care of yourself and others.
As you go through the various activities, you will be able to learn
simple ways on how to protect yourself and your family especially in
this time of pandemic.
This module has six interactive activities for you to follow,
namely:

Let’s Try This – which will help you get ready to learn;

Let’s Explore This – which will guide you towards what


you need to learn;

Keep in Mind – which will give you the lessons that


you need to learn and understand;

You Can Do It – which will help you apply the lessons


learned in daily activities;

What I Have learned – which will test and evaluate


your learning;

Share Your Thoughts and Feelings – which will help


you express your thoughts, opinions feelings.

Make sure to read, think, follow, and enjoy every task


that you are asked to do.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this module, you are expected to:
1. describe the people who can help in taking care of
oneself and others;
2. show importance of taking care of oneself and
others; and
3. demonstrate ways of taking care of oneself and
others.

Period: Weeks 3 and 4 of 3rd Quarter

Suggested Total Time Allotment: 120 minutes

Materials Needed:
Pencil, Crayons, Clean sheet of paper

Introduction

Taking care of oneself and others leads to a healthy and happy


life. A healthy and happy child performs well in school and enjoys
activities with his/her family and friends.

In this module, you will learn that when you take care of
yourself, you will be able to help and take care of others too.

Let’s Try This

Suggested Time Allotment: 30 minutes


With the help of your parents or guardian, read the following
situations. On a clean sheet of paper, write the letter of your answer.

1. You are not feeling well. What will you do?


a. You will continue to watch your favorite TV show or play.
b. Tell your parents how you feel.

2. You are hungry and your parents or guardian are not home yet.
What will you do?
a. Go to any family member who is older than you and tell
him/her that you are hungry.
b. Cry until your parents or guardian come home.

3. You want to play with your friend during this pandemic. What will
you do?
a. Stay at home and send a text message or have a video call
with your friend.
b. Go outside and play with your friend.

4. You are afraid of COVID-19. What will you do?


a. Cry and don’t play with your siblings/cousins.
b. Tell your parents or guardian about how you feel and ask
them how to keep yourself safe from COVID-19.
5. You will eat lunch with your family. What will you do?
a. Eat without washing your hands.
b. Wash your hands first before eating.

With the help of your parents or guardian, do the following on a
clean sheet of paper.

• Draw a triangle if the picture shows taking care of oneself.

• Draw a square if it shows taking care of others.

Taking care of yourself helps you become healthier and happier.
Caring for others like your parents, guardians, siblings, friends, and
other relatives will make you feel loved and build happy
relationships.

During this pandemic, there are ways to take care of yourself and
others. These include:

• Eat nutritious food.


• Get enough sleep.
• Drink water daily.
• Take a bath everyday.
• Wear face mask and face shield.
• Wash your hands regularly.
• Stay at home.
• Play and study with your sibling/cousin.
• Help an elder.

There are people who will help you take care of yourself and
others.

Your parents or guardian will take care of you


when you are sick.

Your teacher will also teach you how to stay


healthy during this pandemic.

Your friends can also help you learn at home.

You Can Do It

Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes


With the help of your parents or guardian, draw a picture
that shows how you take care of yourself or others. Do this
on a clean sheet of paper.

Example:
Eating nutritious food (taking care of yourself)
Sharing food to your sibling (taking care of others)

With the help of your parents or guardian, draw a happy


face if you agree with the statement and a sad face
if not. Write your answer on a clean sheet of paper.
