To whom it may concern:

Hannah Schaefer taught in my inclusion classes, as well as my tutoring period in the
spring semester of 2020. She also taught periodically throughout the fall semester of 2019. She
not only worked with students with disabilities, but also with the regular education students as
well. She worked hard and established excellent rapport with both staff and students while at
United Local School District. She co-taught in five different classroom settings from Algebra to
Geometry to Government working with students in grades 9 through 12. She also tutored many
students with different ability levels from grades 7 through 12. Hannah maintained patience,
courtesy, and kindness while working with each student. She also made many attempts to get to
know the students on a personal level and showed interests in their activities. She collaborated
with four teachers, including myself, to develop lessons, assessments, and projects for each class.
Hannah was able to tutor students in many different content areas and strived to find the answer
if she was unsure. She utilized her resources, got to know other teachers, and developed
relationships with many of the teachers at United Local. She also graded assignments, sat in on
IEP meetings, spoke with parents when necessary, and participated in TBT meetings. She
utilized discipline strategies when necessary and had excellent classroom management skills.
I am very proud of the many accomplishments that Hannah made during her fall and
spring semesters at United Local School District. It can be quite a transition to go from college
into a classroom setting and be responsible for many students with different ability levels. I am
very confident that Hannah will make a seamless transition and be successful wherever she ends
up teaching. She is going to make positive impacts in the lives of many students and the school
district that employs her will gain an excellent teacher. If you would like an additional
information about Hannah’s teaching experience at United Local, please feel free to contact me
