Jesus said, “Do not let
your heart be troubled.
Trust in God, and trust
also in me. There is more
than enough room in my
Father’s home. If this

told you that I am going to prepare a
place for you? When everything is ready,
I will come and get you so that you will
always be with me where I am. And you
know the way to where I am go-
ing.” (Jn.14:1-4 NLT)
It is difficult to say goodbye to friends,
family members, and loved ones. It
breaks our hearts, insists that we face the
uncertainties of life, and forces us into a
“new normal.” Recently, within just a
short amount of time, we have had to
say goodbye to Jake Trammell, Jo Anne
Green, Jerry Alderman, and Don Chris-
mon — wonderful brothers and a sister
in Christ who most of you know and
many of you love. All of them, in one
way or another, contributed to the histo-
ry, DNA, and mission of Monticello Unit-
ed Church of Christ. All have touched
many of your lives for good. You remem-
ber their kind words, acts of kindness,
sense of humor, and those times when
they journeyed with you during the diffi-
cult times in your life and exhibited what
it means to be Christ-like. They will be
missed but never forgotten. And we will
see them again! This is why Jesus’ words
are such a source of strength, wonder
and hope for you and me. Jesus said, “…I
am going to prepare a place for you?
When everything is ready, I will come
and get you so that you will always be
me…”
Folks, life is fleeting, but Praise God,
death is not the end for the believer in
Christ! Jesus has not only made a way for
us. He is “the way, the truth, and the
life….” (Jn. 14:6a) So take heart in know-
ing that though you have had to say
goodbye to loved ones and friends at
Monticello, someday soon we will see
them again because as Jesus said, “…you
know the way to where I am going.” How
amazing and what a wonderful promise
that is from God! What a great gift that
is and so completely undeserved on our
part. So how can we not share that Great
News with others?!

The next meeting of Women’s Fellowship
is June 5, 2019 at 7:00 PM in Fellowship
Hall. We will be completing this year’s
study “God’s Promise: I am with You”.
Rose Miller will facilitate Lesson 8: “God
With Us as the Holy Spirit,” and Barbara
Dean Trammell, Lesson 9: “God With
Us.” Peggy Hopkins is our Hostess.
At this meeting, Dot will have a short
installation of officers since we will be
celebrating a milestone birthday in
August. Will provide more information
later.
We will not have a meeting in the month
of July.
Special thanks to Clyda Johnson who
worked hard to make the yard sale a
success - final total $1,562.00.

and will reach out to share with residents of Guilford House, an assisted living
facility located at 5918 Netfield Road in Greensboro. Join us Sunday evenings
