Youth Night 2019
Our apostolate had our first
ever major event, we invited
the youth to participate to the
Youth Night 2019 with the
theme: Marian Youth Saints of
Tomorrow. The Missionaries
event they sing for us and
Mother and the importance of
the Holy Rosary. Even the
Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady
companion take part to this
simple event sharing the Light
of God through the gaze of the
Blessed Virgin Mary. He tells
the future generation of the
saints. Every saint has a special

Mary because she will be your
mentor to holiness that from
every hail Mary beads of the
rosary we could understand
our FIAT. We are hoping to
have more activities that will be
participated by many, hopefully
we could reach you and get in
touch with you so that you also
may become another instru-

Mary leads us to the fount of
holiness and she invites us to
partake in this Missionary and
Reparative charism bringing
Jesus to His people and His
people to Jesus through the
exposition of the sacred relics
of the Saints. The Blessed
Mother repeatedly request at

ing we should humble our-

than a lukewarm prayer. The

teaches us to remain simple
and to love poverty. Becoming

Christ the Poor. We should
manifest our inner joy through
our smiles because by this we
reflect the Holy Face of Jesus
that smiles to everyone and
lovingly looking down to us
and forgiving our unworthi-
ness. According to Bishop
Verzosa that the will of God is
our sanctification.

Every time I try to share the
story of Darwin Ramos to oth-
ers they evidently asked me the
same question, How come that
this child become s saint? I
answered them firmly: “It is
because of the constant smile

If we will unite our sufferings
to the suffering of Christ we

ways smile amidst our prob-
lems and to constantly live our
life as a big thanksgiving to

Mother Rosario Arroyo the

Sisters of the Holy Rosary of
Molo Iloilo chooses poverty
over fame and wealth. She has
everything, she could ask for
but she prefer to imitate our
Lord and the Blessed Mother
who is poor in material things
but with the richness and
blessedness of heaven. We
could not deny that on the
present generation we live on a
material world who prefer
worldliness rather than holi-
ness and what is worth living
for which is eternal happiness
in heaven. Let us draw an ex-
ample from the life of the new-
ly declared Venerable Mother
Rosario Arroyo OP. In accept-
ing the challenge of the Lord
we have to deny everything
and to empty ourselves for us
to be available and have much
place for Jesus in our life and
in our hearts, to receive and to
follow the footstep of Christ
solely for Christ means selfless-
ly offering God what we have
and what we do even our own
selves. She teaches us that “we
should love our neighbors as
ourselves without interest”. In
helping we must share what we
have for we are gifted to gift
without asking in-return. Please
do pray for her Cause for Beat-
ification and Canonization.

Sometimes
Sometimes God would make
you nervous and will let you
palpitate but he will never
abandon you If we believe in
His loving, providence he
would absolutely give us the
graces we asked for, because
there is nothing impossible if
we have faith. Sometimes you
would feel alone but God
would send someone to ac-
company you and make you
feel worth loving and worth
giving second chance. Some-
times you would feel lost but in
Jesus you find the way and
comfort. Sometimes others
would let you feel somebody
and outcast but God would
make you feel at home and
open to His loving arms.
Sometimes others would hurt
you but Jesus was hurt the
most because he takes every
pain we feel and make it his
suffering to free us from every
pain and discomfort. But how
often this sometimes that God
comes to our assistance at eve-
ry second that past.

A Heartfelt Thanksgiving
The Youth Ministry of Saint
John the Baptist stay with us
overnight sharing stories and
sharing experiences. At the
middle of the night we’ve
played together enjoying the
good weather. Our three other
classmate supported this event
through their presence patience
and participation. And to the
Parish Priest of the Archdioce-
san Shrine of Saint Joseph we
thank you for allowing us to
use the Pastoral Center. And to
the Parish Youth Ministry
President of Saint Joseph,
Kuya Wafo thank you for be-
ing with us with the whole
night guiding and guarding us.
WE would like to extend our
heartfelt gratitude to all those
who participated specially to
the Missionaries of the Poor
and Diocesan Shrine of Our
Lady of Light who travel from
far area just to attend the

Luisa “the Saint”

Luisa “the Saint” gazing at

While still a child I kept hearing
the name of a woman who had
been bedridden for more than
forty years. My mother was
found of her, and often spoke
about her. Especially in the
moment of sorrow and oppres-
sion she would run to her to
implore her prayers. After
twenty years I went back to visit
this soul again and if I found
her always the same: placid and
smiling, working with the tom-
bolo in her hands, or with the
rosary between her fingers in
attitude of prayer. For all those
who saw her and visited her she
had always sweet word of the
will of God on her lips, and was
able to bring to everyone peace
to their souls and conscience ,
and smiles to families. Upon
entering her little room, turning
the eyes to the right, the visitors
found a bed surrounded by a
curtain. On this bed a woman
had been lying for about sev-
enty years, always serene and
fresh as a daisy. Small in stature,
lively eyes, penetrating look, her
head slightly learning towards
the right, this virgin lived alone
with her sister never a lament
never an act of anger. One
could see her always sitting
leaning on three pillows with a
crucifix on which she wanted to
model her entire existence in
front of her hanging from the
bar of the curtain. Lifting the
veil of the curtain, one could
see an altar, upon which every
morning a Priest celebrated the
Sacrifice of the Mass. Near it, a
closet in which the sacred vest-
ment were kept. Nothing else
except for a balcony from
which, every once in a while,
she used to get some air and
sun. seventy years in bed! One
entire long existence. Well from
1878 to 1947 this soul spent her
life in solitude, in suffering, in
silence, and in prayer. This soul
had a name known to many:
Luisa Piccarreta, called “Luisa
the Saint”
