During his priestly years, Bishop
Alfredo Verzosa was a pastor
according to the Heart of Jesus. He
dedicated himself to his priestly
ministry and attended with
generosity to the needs of his
priests and his flocks. He was
faithful to the Church and a man of
prayer. At the end of his life, he has
to suffer the pain of being taken
away from his beloved people and
was left alone to suffer patiently his
fate. His life of prayer, humility,
obedience to the authority and
patient endurance in the midst of
trials is an example for priests and

hope inspiring hearts, words
captivating souls, love so abounding,
and service always giving.
