VENERABLE MOTHER JERONIMA DE LA ASUNCION Foundress of Santa Clara Monastery October 22 Mother Jeronima, was a woman of prayer, constantly immersed in deep contemplation, fortified by a strong sense of internal mortification through her practice of silence, patience and fortitude. SERVANT OF GOD ALFREDO VERZOSA Founder of the Missionary Catechists of the Sacred Heart June 27 During his priestly years, Bishop Alfredo Verzosa was a pastor according to the Heart of Jesus. He dedicated himself to his priestly ministry and attended with generosity to the needs of his priests and his flocks. He was faithful to the Church and a man of prayer. At the end of his life, he has to suffer the pain of being taken away from his beloved people and was left alone to suffer patiently his fate. His life of prayer, humility, obedience to the authority and patient endurance in the midst of trials is an example for priests and SERVANT OF GOD AMADOR TAJANLANGIT SR, Layman March 9 He was a Wonder Worker of God but such life he had was so hidden, no one in his neighborhood suspected that they had a Great Saint at their midst. Such humility so profound, piety so fervent, zeal for souls so persevering, heart so loving, always ready to help, faith so strong, radiating joy to many, hope inspiring hearts, words captivating souls, love so abounding, and service always giving.
