Re: Work Permit for mandatory Work Integrated Learning (WIL) component of the
Culinary Management (H100)
This letter is to confirm that the Culinary Management (H100) program has a Work Integrated Learning
(WIL) component, which is an integral part of the program and is required for graduation:
This work integrated learning component is less than 50% of total program of study.
A Work Permit is required before students can start any type of Work Integrated Learning component.
Students should therefore apply for the Work Permit together with their Canadian Study Permit
application using this letter as a supporting document. Instructions on how to apply for a Study Permit
can be found http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study.asp
If you have already applied for your Canadian Study Permit, you need to apply for your Work Permit
using this letter as a supporting document as soon as you arrive in Canada. Instructions on how to apply
for a Work Permit can be found http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-coop.asp
Thank you.
*Students may be responsible for finding their own work integrated learning opportunities but will be
supported in this process by their academic department. Please note that there may be pre-placement
academic requirements and field placements may be paid or unpaid positions.
