My personal experience in high school I love to participate in school activities. I was

involved in many activities such as, playing a flute in band. I ran track and I was in the drill

team. Since I was having fun in spending most of my time practicing, I did not have time for

my other classes which were essential for example, English, History and Government

classes. For this reason; I made poor grades in these classes. I only study for classes I was

interested in such as, Biology, Math and Home Making and made good grades. Now I am at

a University where I never thought I would be but I feel like I am not achieving my goals.

Specific ways that I can expose myself to people and situation that are diverse from my

normal day to day is to encourage them to study and seek their dream to the fullest and to

keen to positive ideas and flee from negative distraction a key and vital ingredient for

success. For this reason, I choose Langston University to help me achieve my goals and help

other students.

My name is Barbie Drayden. I became a Christian at the age

of thirty-seven. The reason why I decided to become a

Christian I started to groan over the world condition and

realized that it was not going to get any better. For so many

years, I looked to man who were leaders for example, government to help the world condition

get better but it only gotten worse. Also people who are sick and dying, I realized doctors can

only do so much but eventually humans still become sick and die. I started to become aware

that human’s life is headed to a dead end and that humans are born to die in this world. Then I

started to ask myself questions, why would a god make humans just to live to die? I started to do my

research by examine the bible; I knew only the bible could answer my questions since God is the author

of it. After examine the bible, I realized the world condition is cause of Satan and his demons and that he

wants all humans dead and not to worship GOD. Also, I found out that Satan is a god with a name;

therefore I wanted to know since all these Gods have a name why come the almighty god does not have

a name? I remembered once pharaoh asked Moses this same question. Almighty only describes how

powerful GOD is, this is not a name. Yes, after researching the bible, I found out the almighty God

introduced himself and his name is Jehovah not Jesus Christ which makes sense (psalms 83:18). There

are some bibles that have replaced Jehovah name with GOD, but as I mentioned earlier, God is only a

title like king, presidents, cars and the devil. However, since they all have a name it is only logical to

accept that the almighty God has a name which is Jehovah. Also, I found out he made a promise in the

bible to humans that there will be a new earth and the righteous will dwell. (2 peter 3:13) Jesus Christ,

as king to all humans, will meet all human’s needs, such as no more sickness, death, hunger and etc.

How awesome! Therefore, he tells humans if they want to be part of this there is something they must

do, show faith in him, live like it’s our last day, obey his commands and our name will be written in his

book of life. Therefore, I had to make some changes in my life stop fornicating, stop watching movies

that involve killing, spiritism and etc. God tells humans what he likes and what he does not like his laws

have not changed and humans cannot change God. God tells humans how to live their lives so that they

can live a healthier life such as do not steal, if you do not steal then you will not be killed by the person

protecting his/her property. Also, by obeying God commandments I am showing God I love him and I

want to be part of his world and not this world and showing Satan that some humans really do love God

even if we have to die we know God has the power to bring humans back to life.

In conclusion, why did I become a Christian? I became a Christian to show the almighty God

who name is Jehovah God; I love him, by making changes in my life, which pleases him and obey

what he commands. (Isaiah 48:17, 18) I am tired of the world’s condition and I know and convinced

he is the only one that can change it. When Jesus rules as King over the earth, I want to be ready for

that day because no one knows that day but Jehovah God.
