Why do you think you should be considered for LUMS NOP scholarship?

World renowned faculty , state of the art facilities and excellent academic environment makes LUMS is one of the finest universities in
Pakistan and to pursue graduation from LUMS is my dream. As I belong to very humble background and remained a low income
student I need NOP scholarship for pursuing my dream of graduating from LUMS. Apart from financial needs my strong academic
background , sound performance in extracurricular activities , leadership skills and community driven approaches makes me eligible
for this scholarship . I have achieved distinction in my school throughout my academic career , with that I have remained one of the
excellent performer in speech competition at my school. I have also rendered community services through awareness programs about
dengue fever and typhoid preventing injections in my village. Because of all these reasons and my faith in myself that after graduating
from LUMS I will be better equipped with right set of skills to serve my society and country in a better ways ,I believe that I should be
considered for NOP scholarship.

I always had an inquiring mind and positive attitude towards my studies and this helped me to build a habbit of reading books ,
watching documentries and exploring new things. My these habbits made me different from others and helped me to always achieve
first rank in my school. Apart from my excellent academic records I remained captain of my schools cricket team and played a
decisive role as an opener to help my team win a tournament. I was named as player of tournament in numerous tournaments played
in school or out of school.Playing these tournaments both as captain and team player helped me to build my leadership skills and
enhanced my ability to work well in groups. Apart from these I always believed that understanding and imparting knowledge is more
important than memorising it and for this purpose I gave tutuions to poor students of my village and rendered community services
through awareness programs about dengue fever , polio and typhoid preventing injections in my village. These activities not only
helped me to understand the value of sharing and caring for others but also enhanced my confidenceand helped me to polish my
communication skills.I believe in a moto that "come to learn and go to serve" and I believe that I will keep pursuing this with great
deligence.
