Why do you think you should be considered for LUMS NOP scholarship?

Taking into account the form, the only source of my family income is my father and mother salary income and littlle bit from
agricultural resources which is much less to meet our house hold expenses. Moreover, I have two siblings and both of them
are currently studying. My parents are supposed to meet their academic requirements with me in addition to house hold
needs. My Parents contributes their all income towards household expenses but still we are wrestling with a lot of difficulties
throughout the year. In spite of all the mentioned problems I am very much passionate about my studies. I want to study in top
ranked institution and want to do something for my family and my society. For this purpose, it is my extreme desire to seek
admission in LUMS, because I found my field of interest in LUMS. For that I studied well in my previous classes and always
became the position holder of my school and now of my college. I came from the most underprivileged area of Pakistan i.e.
Shigar Baltistan (G. B) to Rawalpindi for better education. It also shows my love and passion for studies. But, for the
completion of my dream good grades are not important alone.In my area women education still has less importance and
people still feel reluctant to send their daughters in cities but I have won my father's confidence but the only barrier is
finance.So if I cannot get any scholarship like LUMS NOP then it can also expect that I have to terminate my studies due to
financial constrains for the sake of my brothers, because in my locality boy's education is still important than girls So, I need
some financial support for study and my father is unable to provide so. Being poor and downtrodden, my parents have the
hope to see me in LUMS. I am only and the first one who is applying for LUMS. I will show my innate abilities by inculcating
the sense of service to my country and nation. LUMS would be a fascinating platform for me to further polish my talents and
also my dream of life. After all these explanations, I am hopeful that the selection committee will give me opportunity to join
LUMS NOP session which will surely lead to my admission in this prestigeous university, my dreamplace of education, so that
I can carry on my studies and outshine in my field of interest. Hope for the best...

Being poor and downtrodden our family expenses are very low due to low standard of living, but still my father and mother
income become insufficient to meet these expenses .We recover these expenses in the following respects: 1-As my father is a
driver and working with a hotel to carry tourist at different places so sometime tourist give him money as a reward for their
services etc. so we use this money to recover these expenses. 2- If we still cannot meet the expenses then we take small
interest free loans from our relatives to meet the expenses in emergency situation.

Things that happen in a person’s early life have a profound impact on their entire lives. But unlike other students, being a girl
through persistent hardworking firm determination I fought hard and faced many problems with huge courage and achieved
good result in my matric because it is very difficult for me to get education in a society where women education has not much
importance. I got 950 marks in matriculation and become one of the toppers of my school. Throughout my life I achieved
various opportunities and learned a lot of things from them to lead my life contentedly. Some of opportunities I missed but
most of them I gained and learned. I always had desire to study in one of the best institutions and this desire of getting quality
education brought me out of my beautiful village to one of the good institutions of Rawalpindi and I am doing my intermediate
here and the desire of study in one of the best institutes of country without having enough resources compelled me to apply
for National Outreach Program at LUMS. My educational journey until now is full of tremendous achievements. I have been
quite energetic and enthusiastic in my studies and have been showing good performance in class as well as involved in a
variety of extracurricular activities both inside and outside of school and college. I have always performed very well in both
academic and co-curricular activities like sports, quiz, and debate competitions, singing, and in many other competitions. I
have also received appreciation and participation certificates in many co-curricular activities. Eager to learn enthusiast, to be a

part of whole new world, hopping to open doors of success seeking a chance to renovate my skills, I have applied for this life
making opportunity NOP which will pave the way to LUMS, the most renowned university in Pakistan I am interested to study
Management Sciences or Accounting and Finance due to my keen interest towards business and organizational strategies. I
am interested in business from early life but due to lack of guidance and awareness, I cannot study business related courses
from very basic classes. The reason for my choice of business-related courses in such a situation is that I consider myself as
a person who loves challenges and is confident of my ability of communication, organization, and business &
enterprenuership. I firmly decided to go towards this field after a deep observation on my area i.e. Gilgit Baltistan. I observed
that my area is lacking behind in lifestyle, infrastructure, quality education, health, transportation and communication system,
and the root of all these problems is our weak economic status. To eradicate all such problems, we have to develop our
economy. Thinking this I have planned a major business setup in future so that I will be able to make many families
economically stable as well as our own family. I found out that I was much fascinated by a competition, ECP (Enterprise
Challenge Pakistan) National Final 2017 organized by SEED in Karachi. I was leading the team of my school that participated
in this competition and we were representing Gilgit Baltistan. By the grace of Almighty, we stood first in this competition which
shows my leadership skills as well as entrepreneurship skills and idea generation. As the competition was about creating
ideas and setting up business. I also have planned a major business setup in future so that I will be able to make many
families economically stable as well as our own family. After graduating in this field, I will also achieve many skills regarding
organization, communication, and business. So, I have also planned to setup an organization in future which has great
purposes for the development of our society. I realized the way in which I can add some more value to my society, and I
believe that the quality education, internship, training and experiences that LUMS offer is of remarkable importance and
significance for me to be a successful person in life. I feel that having such unstable economic background, conspicuous
marks, as well as being a praiseworthy student and belonging to a middle-class family, I am the most appropriate and suitiable
person for NOP scholarship. It will accelerate my vision, eagle eyed and capabilities as well as my intellectual growth from
LUMS and will endeavor my future after having a degree from this prestigious institutions.
