GROUP 2 – LARONG PINOY

Duration: 2 hours
Scoring System: This scoring system is applicable for all the games that will be
played. This includes:
1st – 100 pts
2nd – 97 pts
3rd – 95 pts
4th – 93 pts

GAME 1: KADANG-KADANG
How to play Kadang-kadang:
1. Kadang-kadang requires two teams with 4 members each.
2. Equipment to use: four pieces (or two sets) of bamboo poles with equal heights, say 10 feet
long. Each pole must have a foot-size stepladder.
3. The goal of this game is for the two teams to successfully traverse a 100-meter course,
which is marked at every 25th meter.
4. The first player of each team stands behind the starting point, while the second player
stands on the 25th-meter mark. The third player waits at the 50th-meter mark and the last
player on the 75th mark.
5. At the signal of “Get set”, the first players must stand ready behind the starting line holding
their respective stilts.
6. At the signal of “Go”, the players mount their stilts and start walking towards the 25th-
meter mark. Then, they get off the stilts for the second players to continue the course to the
50th mark. This process is repeated until the fourth players reach the finish line (or the
100th-meter).
7. The team that completes the course first is the winner.
8. Each player is allowed only two errors. This means that if the player falls off the stilts more
than twice, his team loses the game.

GAME 2: LUKSONG BAKA

You will not need any equipment for Luksong baka.
How to play Luksong Baka:
 1. At the start of the game there should be one player that should be called “Taya” (It’) or in
this game the “Bakang lala” (Cow).
2. The players should avoid contact or falling over the “Baka” player while jumping over.
3. The “Baka” player should start with a bend-down kneeling position (A “Baka” player bends
over with his hands placed on his knees).
4. All players are to jump over the “Baka” until all the players have jumped. Once the 1st set of
jumping over the “Baka” is done, the “Baka” player’s position will slowly rise-up after
jumping over the “Baka” player.
5. Only the hands of the jumper may touch the back of the person who is bent over. If a player
fails to avoid contact or fall over the “Baka”, he/she will replace the “Baka” player with a
bend-down kneeling position (3), and the game continues until the all players decides to
end the game.

GAME 3: CHINESE GARTER

Players are divided into two or more teams, with a minimum number of two members per team.
During the game, two members of the “it” team shall serve as “game posts” as they stand opposite
each other and hold each end of the garter. The objective of the game then is to be able to
successfully jump over the garter as it is gradually held higher by the game posts. Just like in the
game ten – twenty, each team also has its own team leader, more commonly known as the “Mother”.
Once a team member unable or fails to jump at a certain level, the Mother can still save her team by
taking her team member’s turn. Failure to do so will lead to the team’s elimination by making them
the new game posts and will bring the game back to the first level.

The Chinese Garter game is usually subdivided into ten levels. Most of the time, however, the
players may decide for their desired number of levels for their game. Here is an example of the
levels being used to give you an idea of the game:
 Level 1 – The garter is being held by the posts closer to the ground.
 Level 2 – Knee high
 Level 3 – Around the height of their hips
 Level 4 – Waist high
 Level 5 – Chest high
 Level 6 – Shoulder high
 Level 7 – Ear high
 Level 8 – At the tip of the head
 Level 9 – A few inches above the head
 Level 10 – Also known as the Father / Mother Jump, as high as a kid raising his arms high on
tip toes.
When the players reaches the Level 10, they will play another round which is the twisted game. In
the twisted game, they will play from Level 10 down to Level 1 by overpassing below the garter
without touching it (except for the Level 2 and Level 1).
GAME 4: DODGEBALL
1.) The game will be played by two groups, one will be the offending team and the other will be the
defending team.

2.) In the preliminary game, two games will be done at the same time that will be played by as
follows:
Group 1 vs Group 3
Group 2 vs Group 4

Moreover, the preliminary game is consists of two rounds.

3.) The duration of the game will be 10 minutes. The group with the highest number of remaining
players will be held as the winner in each round including the Championships. With the given time
per game is 2 mins.

4.) When the game starts, the offending team is expected to begin throwing the ball towards the
defense team until every member of the group will be eliminated. Thus, the timer will stop.

5.) In the second round, the defense and offense team will be switching. Hence, same rules are
applied from the previous round.

6.) The groups that will win from each preliminary games will be playing for the championship
game.

GAME 5: PATINTERO
1.) The game will be played by two groups, one will be the offending team and the other will be the
defending team.

2.) In the preliminary game, two games will be done at the same time that will be played by as
follows:
Group 1 vs Group 3
Group 2 vs Group 4

Moreover, the preliminary game is consists of two rounds.

3.) There will be 5 members to play (1 of it is the “liboter”). Each member of the defending team
will stand on their own poses.

4.) While the offending team will be the one who will pass through the defending team WITHOUT
being touched by the defending team. After they pass through the poses, they have to go back to the
main pose for them to be declared as winner.

5.) The most member who can pass through the defending team in given time will be the winner
and proceeds to the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
